Shandon Baptiste - Sent off against Wolves Baptiste was sent off in the 65th minute of Saturday's match against Wolves after his second yellow card.
Impact It was a massive mistake from Baptiste, who was slated to be subbed off. Instead, with Brentford up two goals, his team went down to 10 men. Already playing above Frank Onyeka and Mathias Jensen in the XI, this move could eventually see him on the bench going forward.

Brentford's defeat by Brighton is a harsh lesson on being more ruthless in front of goal Mbeumo and Toney linked up well but more opportunities must be created for the latter if Brentford are to make the most of their chances
SEPTEMBER 13, 2021 • THEATHLETIC.COM
Ivan Toney - Creates three chances in loss Toney took two shots and created three chances in Saturday's 1-0 defeat against Brighton. He also won one of one tackles in the match.
Impact Toney was active in attack on Saturday but he wasn't able to make the breakthrough into Brighton's goal. He will try to bounce back next weekend against Wolves, which have conceded three times in four Premier League matches this season.

Bryan Mbeumo - Takes three shots in loss Mbeumo took three shots and created two chances in Saturday's 1-0 defeat against Brighton.
Impact Mbeumo was active in attack on Saturday but he wasn't able to make the breakthrough into Brighton's net. He will still be looking for his first Premier League goal next weekend against Wolves, which have conceded three times in four matches this season.
SEPTEMBER 11, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
David Raya - Concedes goal against Brighton Raya made a save but conceded a goal in Saturday's 1-0 defeat against Brighton.
Impact Raya will be disappointed to have conceded a last-minute winner to Leandro Trossard on Saturday. Brentford began their first Premier League campaign on a high note but have slowed down since with no wins and just one goal in their last three games. Next weekend they face Wolves, which just scored their first two goals of the season in Matchday 4.

SEPTEMBER 11, 2021 • Associated Press
Frank Onyeka - Makes bench Saturday Onyeka (COVID-19) is on the bench for Saturday's match against Brighton.
Impact Onyeka is back in the squad Saturday, but he's on the bench with Shandon Baptiste getting a surprise start. Minutes will be a battle every match when everyone is healthy, as Mathias Jensen is also an option for the midfield.

Brentford's Onyeka available to face Brighton ' Goal.com Brentford manager Thomas Frank has confirmed Frank Onyeka’s availability for Saturday’s Premier League clash against Brighton and Hove Albion.
SEPTEMBER 10, 2021 • GOAL.COM
Pelenda Da Silva - Not included in team list Dasilva (hip) was not included in the team list for the first half of the season.
Impact This isn't too surprising for Dasilva, who has been out since February with a hip injury and didn't have a return date in sight. Unfortunately for him, once he's ready to return, he'll have to fight his way into the squad again after missing the first half of the season.
SEPTEMBER 10, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Mads Bech Sorensen - Injury considered long term Sorensen could miss several months after suffering medial ligament damage to his right knee before the break, reports The Athletic.
Impact Sorensen already lost his spot in the XI to Kristoffer Ajer and now his playing time will disappear while injured. There's a chance he's headed for surgery, as Brentford recently added Zanka to their squad, meaning Sorensen may be out more than half the season.
SEPTEMBER 9, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Shandon Baptiste - Ready for more minutes Baptiste "is in a better place" in regards to his injury, according to manager Thomas Frank after playing off the bench before the break.
Impact Baptiste managed a minute before the break and now has a couple weeks of full training under his belt. He's unlikely to crack the starting XI in the next month, but he'll undoubtedly give Brentford another option off the bench.
SEPTEMBER 9, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Zanka - Signs with Brentford Zanka has signed a one-year deal with Brentford after leaving Fenerbahce over the summer.
Impact At 31 years old, Zanka is simply a depth addition for Brentford's back line. He last appeared in the Premier League in 2018/19 at Huddersfield and will only crack the starting XI if needed. He'll likely take the spot of Mads Bech Sorensen, who is currently out with a knee injury.
SEPTEMBER 9, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Frank Onyeka - Back in training Onyeka (COVID-19) is back in training and will be an option for Saturday's match against Brighton.
Impact Onyeka tested positive for COVID-19 about two weeks ago and recovered over the international break. There's a chance he'll be back in the starting XI Saturday, but Thomas Frank will have to make a decision, as Mathias Jensen is healthy again and should be ready to start.
SEPTEMBER 9, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Mathias Jensen - Plays 10 minutes in season debut Jensen had two chances created in 10 minutes off the bench of his season debut in the 1-1 draw against Aston Villa.
Impact Jensen was finally in the squad against Villa and he showed his ability immediately, mainly because he may be on all set pieces for Brentford when on the pitch. The question going forward is where he'll fit in the starting XI with Christian Norgaard, Vitaly Janelt and Frank Onyeka all fighting for minutes.
SEPTEMBER 3, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Saman Ghoddos - One start thus far Ghoddos has one start through Brentford's opening three matches of the season.
Impact Ghoddos lone start came in Brentford's previous match during their 1-1 draw with Aston Villa. The midfielder also saw 20 minutes as a substitute against Crystal Palace and is likely to continue in a bit part role for the Bees in the new campaign.
SEPTEMBER 2, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Rico Henry - Started all three games Henry has started all three of Brentford's matches to start the new season.
Impact Henry has not only started all three games but has also played all 270 minutes available. The wing back hasn't offered a ton offensively, but is a reliable starter if one lacking upside.
SEPTEMBER 2, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Bryan Mbeumo - Very limited impact Mbuemo took one shot on target and made one tackle in Saturday's draw against Aston Villa.
Impact Mbuemo had taken five shots in his first two games of the season, but he was very limited in this one and barely made an impact. He continues to play upfront in a 3-5-2 setting, but he's far more effective on a winger role due to his pace.
AUGUST 31, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Ivan Toney - Scores first EPL goal Toney bagged a goal in Saturday's draw against Aston Villa. He finished with two shots (one on target), one chance created and one clearance.
Impact The towering striker was the top scorer in the 2020-21 Championship season and opened his account at the top level after finding the back of the net from close range in this one. He took advantage of a backheel from Pontus Jansson to fire it home past Emiliano Martinez. Toney might only have one goal, but he has already taken 2.3 shots per game so far through three starts.
AUGUST 31, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
David Raya - Makes four saves in draw Raya conceded one goal, made four saves and recorded one clearance in Saturday's draw against Brentford.
Impact Raya couldn't do anything on the goal from Emiliano Buendia in the first half, but he was solid the rest of the way. Through three games, the Spaniard has two clean sheets, one goal conceded and 10 saves. Brentford have looked better than expected so far and Raya has been one of the biggest reasons why.
AUGUST 31, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Pontus Jansson - Credited with assist Jansson was credited with an assist in Saturday's draw against Aston Villa. He also racked up four clearances and one tackle.
Impact The Sweden international set up Ivan Toney's goal with a perfect backheel on the edge of the six-yard box in what was his lone contribution on offense throughout the entire game. Jansson delivers more value on defense, however, as evidenced by the fact that he has recorded 13 clearances, three tackles and three interceptions through three games this season.
