Julian Ryerson - Creative effort in loss Ryerson recorded one shot (zero on goal), 12 crosses (three accurate) and four corners in Wednesday's 2-0 defeat against Inter Milan.
Impact Ryerson made his fourth start in seven Champions League matches after coming off the bench in Dortmund's previous fixture in the competition. He was active down the right flank and regularly looked to create chances. In the Champions League, he has completed 12 successful crosses with a 30.8 percent success rate, placing him among the top fullbacks in the competition. His 13 chances created also rank near the top at his position, and despite recording just one assist so far, the attacking upside remains clear. Ryerson will next feature for Borussia Dortmund in a Champions League matchup against Atalanta in two weeks, which shapes up as an even contest.
JANUARY 30 • ROTOWIRE
Fabio Silva - Three shots in loss Fabio Silva generated three shots (zero on goal) in Wednesday's 2-0 loss to Inter Milan.
Impact Silva showed the most intent in trying to find the back of the net for Borussia Dortmund but was unable to convert his efforts or test the goalkeeper. This marked his second start in the Champions League across seven appearances, after coming off the bench in Dortmund's previous fixture in the competition. Across all competitions, Silva has recorded just one goal in 22 matches and has struggled to replicate the form he showed last season, when he scored 10 goals in 25 matches for Las Palmas. His playing time remains unpredictable going forward, though he will have another opportunity in an evenly matched Champions League fixture against Atalanta.
JANUARY 30 • ROTOWIRE
Gregor Kobel - Concedes twice in loss Kobel had three saves and allowed two goals in Wednesday's 2-0 defeat versus Inter Milan.
Impact Kobel had a fairly average night, but the Borussia Dortmund defense allowed too many quality chances, which eventually caught up to him, along with a moment of individual brilliance from a free kick. In the Bundesliga, he has recorded 10 clean sheets in 19 matches, but he has struggled to replicate that form in the Champions League, keeping just one clean sheet in eight appearances. His save percentage in the competition sits at 59.5 percent, placing him around the lower end among Champions League goalkeepers. Dortmund's next Champions League fixture comes in two weeks against Atalanta, which shapes up as an even matchup and a chance for Kobel and the defense to turn around their form in the competition.

He logged eight crosses for the second time in the UCL this season, recording three accurate crosses and three chances created in the process. He also took one off-target shot and has still not put a shot on target in either the Bundesliga or Champions League this season.
