Timo Horn - Posts back-to-back clean sheets Horn made zero saves and recorded one clean sheet during the 1-0 win against Schalke on Saturday.
Impact Horn was tasked with picking grass in one of the most important games of the season. The keeper did not see much of Schalke's attack and when he did, it was never a true attempt on net. However, he has his backline to thank for this. Horn has made just one save over his past two appearances with clean sheets in both. He has been unreliable for the majority of the season and his backline has stepped up in a large way perfect timing to make up for it.

Sebastiaan Bornauw - Scores possible season-saving goal Bornauw scored once, took two shots (one on target), made four interceptions and received one yellow card in the 1-0 win against Schalke on Saturday.
Impact Bornauw was fantastic in the epic win Saturday. The defender not only helped lead the backline and start the transition, but he also joined the attack a few times to provide another body. It just so happened that he managed to escape his man in the final minutes to secure the all important goal to possibly save Koln's season. Bornauw has been a rock on the backline all season and he has been looking to move up more lately to help on set-pieces. If he can continue doing this, he will only boost his value as a multi-dimensional center-back.

Jan Thielmann - Assists game-winning goal Thielmann assisted once, created two chances, sent six crosses (one accurate) and made one tackle (none won) in the 1-0 win against Schalke on Saturday.
Impact Thielmann did not do much to help support any attack. However, he dished out the critical cross to set up the game-winning goal after his own attempt on net. Thielmann has had issues staying fit and being consistent for the majority of the season. However, luckily for Koln he managed to find his best form in the possible season-saving performance. Although, until he can prove that he can stay fit and see more consistent time and production, it is hard to consider him.

Jonas Hector - Dominates in important win Hector produced three shots (two on target), created two chances, sent three crosses (one accurate), took two corners and made four tackles (four won) during the all important 1-0...
Impact Hector was everywhere he possibly could be in the win Saturday. The midfielder typically sits as a more defensive mid, but he did quite the opposite. Hector was essentially an extra attacker through the majority of the match doing everything he could to generate the goals needed to secure the win. Furthermore, not only did he generate multiple chances, but he also took his fair share of chances as well. It was by far one of his best performances and it was an important performance at that.

Ondrej Duda - Whips eight crosses in big win Duda produced two shots (none on target), created two chances, sent eight crosses (two accurate), took six corners and made two tackles (none won) in the 1-0 win over Schalke on Sa...
Impact Duda was the typical playmaker once again in the epic win Saturday. The midfielder continued to play a large part in the attack for Koln and he maintained his role on set-pieces. Time and time again, Duda influences the play in every way possible and he will not only set up chances, but he continues to be one of the primary shooters as well. Whether Koln manage to stay alive in relegation playoffs or be sent down once again, Duda should remain the pivotal piece.

Ellyes Skhiri - Banned against Schalke Skhiri picked up his fifth yellow card of the season and will miss the finale versus Schalke on Saturday.
Impact Skhiri is coming off a season in which he set a new career high in goals with five on 17 shots (seven on target). The midfielder added another two assists, 17 chances created and 82 interceptions. With Ismail Jakobs also suspended, Jonas Hector (laceration) and Salih Ozcan figure to rejoin the starting XI against Schalke.
MAY 20, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Ismail Jakobs - Suspended Saturday Jakobs will not be eligible to play against Schalke on Saturday after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season.
Impact With his suspension, Jakobs will see his season come to a close having appeared in 23 contests (18 starts) in which he registered one goal on 22 shots (six on target), 77 crosses (11 accurate) and one assist. The midfielder should continue to offer solid fantasy value next season as he pushes the attack and racks up plenty of crosses along the way.

Jonas Hector - Resumes team training Hector (laceration) was on the pitch for Wednesday's training session.
Impact Hector's return to training is a good indication he'll be available for the season finale versus FC Schalke on Saturday. In his previous five clashes, the midfielder has recorded two goals on nine shots (three on target), one assist and eight crosses (four accurate).

Ismail Jakobs - Sends in seven crosses in draw Jakobs had a shot on goal, created four chances, sent in seven crosses (two accurate), made two tackles (one won), helped his side to keep a clean sheet and was shown a yellow card...
Impact Jakobs was back in the starting XI after making his return from an ankle injury off the bench on the previous match. Used as a left back, he didn't need to work much on defense, but found room to support the offensive end all the time and made most of the opportunities he had, pacing his side in chances created. Jakobs he'll hope this great display from the flank helps him to remain in the lineup for next Saturday's decisive matchup against Schalke.
MAY 16, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Rafael Czichos - Fills stat sheet in draw Czichos made five tackles (three won), three clearances and three interceptions while helping his side to keep a clean sheet during Saturday's scoreless draw against Hertha Berlin.
Impact Czichos was everywhere on the defensive end, racking up some nice defensive numbers and being a major reason why the opposition couldn't attempt more than one shot during the whole match. The centre back will need to be at his best next Saturday, when his side will try to avoid relegation during a home match against last-placed Schalke.
MAY 16, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Elvis Rexhbecaj - Takes three shots in draw Rexhbecaj had three shots (one on target), sent in two inaccurate crosses and suffered two fouls during Saturday's scoreless draw against Hertha Berlin.
Impact Rexhbecaj was back in the starting XI after being an unused substitute on the previous match. And he made most of the opportunity, leading his side in shot attempts and being very active while he was on the pitch. The midfielder will hope to remain in the lineup for next Saturday's decisive final game of the season against Schalke.
MAY 16, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Ondrej Duda - Sends in 11 crosses in draw Duda had one off-target shot and sent in 11 crosses (two accurate) during Saturday's scoreless draw against Hertha Berlin.
Impact Duda was active as usual on the offensive end, once again pacing his side in crosses, but this tme volume didn't translate into clear scoring chances. The playmaker had five goals, one asssist, 20 shots, 11 chances created and 37 crosses over his last eight starts and will need to be at his best next Saturday, when his side will try to avoid relegation against Schalke.
MAY 16, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Timo Horn - Keeps clean sheet in draw Horn made one save and kept a clean sheet during Saturday's scoreless draw against Hertha Berlin.
Impact Horn didn't have any work other than a first-half finish by Jessic Ngankam coming his way as his side dominated the opposition and kept his first clean sheet since Jan. 16. It has been a tough season for the goalkeeper as he conceded 59 goals, second most in the league, over 33 matches, but he'll have a great opportunity to redeem himself next Saturday as Koln will try to avoid relegation against last-placed Schalke.
MAY 16, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Jonas Hector - Misses match against Berlin Hector has been ruled out of the match against Hertha Berlin on Saturday.
Impact Hector will not take part in Saturday's fixture. The defensive midfielder could not recover in time from a leg injury.
