Joel Edmundson - Making Capitals debut Saturday Edmundson will make his Capitals debut Saturday against the Blue Jackets, Sammi Silber of The Hockey News reports.

Impact Edmundson was taken off the injured reserve list earlier in the day and will make his Capitals debut after missing the first 14 games recovering from a broken hand during the preseason. The 30-year-old will be a valuable physical presence for the Capitals, however a lack of offensive upside confines Edmundson's fantasy appeal to deeper leagues that count peripheral categories such as hits and block shots.

Impact The Capitals activated Joel Edmundson (hand) from long-term injured reserve, necessitating the reassignment of McIlrath to the AHL. McIlrath managed to play in one game, picking up a five-minute fighting major in a 3-0 win over Vegas on Tuesday. McIlrath had three assists and 23 PIM in 11 AHL games before his recall.

Impact Kuemper is 3-3-2 with a 3.07 GAA and .892 save percentage. The 33-year-old has missed the last three games, and had to be helped off the ice at practice Thursday, but he practiced Friday and has been cleared to play. Kuemper is 3-3-2 with a 3.07 GAA and .892 save percentage, his worst peripherals since the 2016-17 season when he had a 3.13 GAA for the Wild in 18 games. Kuemper has never had a save percentage under .900 for an entire season in his NHL career.
