Impact Shepard will rejoin Washington with Charlie Lindgren (upper body) landing on IR. The 29-year-old Shepard made four appearances with the Caps earlier this year, going 2-1-1 with an .894 save percentage.

The winger has bounced around the Capitals' lineup, and he played on a new-look third line with Lars Eller and Ethen Frank in this contest, a trio that combined for the team's second goal. Raddysh is at 18 points, 51 shots on net, 36 hits and an even plus-minus rating through 42 outings. While he's done better than last season (14 points in 73 contests), Raddysh's bottom-six spot this campaign doesn't bode well for sustained success.

Impact Frank, who made his NHL debut Friday, hustled to negate an icing, then schooled Arber Xhekaj behind Montreal's net before setting up Lars Eller for the game-tying goal early in the third period. It was the type of hustle play that could buy an NHL novice more shifts. The 26-year-old earned his callup to Washington, having scored 20 goals in 35 games for AHL Hershey.

Impact Eller knotted the game at 2-2 early in the third period, beating rookie netminder Jakub Dobes to the glove side.
