Noah Hanifin - Suffers undisclosed injury Hanifin (undisclosed) isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against San Jose, per SinBin.vegas.
Impact Hanifin had no points, three shots and two hits in 24:00 of ice time during Vegas' 6-5 shootout loss to the Kings in Wednesday's season opener. However, the 28-year-old suffered the injury late in the overtime period. He's a key part of the Golden Knights' blue line, so it would be a big blow if he's out for any significant stretch of time. Ben Hutton is expected to draw into the lineup Thursday due to Hanifin's absence.

Akira Schmid - Tending twine versus Sharks Schmid will occupy the road crease in Thursday's game versus the Sharks, Max Miller of NHL.com reports.
Impact Schmid will get his first start of the season after Adin Hill was in goal for Wednesday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Kings. Schmid made just five NHL appearances the 2024-25 regular season after logging a total of 37 games over the previous two years combined. He'll get the first crack at being Vegas' backup goalie in 2025-26.

Mark Stone - Records two assists Wednesday Stone registered two power-play assists, three shots on goal and a minus-2 rating in Wednesday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Kings.
Impact Stone won't be the top winger for Vegas anymore now that Mitch Marner is in town, but the former can still be quite effective in a middle-six role. The 33-year-old Stone put up 67 points in 66 regular-season outings in 2024-25, his highest total in both production and games played in his six full campaigns with the Golden Knights. For now, Stone is playing on the second line, though his spot on the first power-play unit should be enough to give his offense a boost as he tries to reach the 20-goal mark for the first time since 2020-21.

Mitch Marner - Two assists in team debut Marner logged a pair of assists, three shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Wednesday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Kings.
Impact Marner helped out on goals by linemates Jack Eichel and Ivan Barbashev during the third period. The 28-year-old Marner was also on the ice as the power play cashed in twice late in the second period. The playmaking winger is off to a positive start one game into his Vegas tenure, and he figures to be a massive performer with the team after coming over from Toronto in the offseason. Marner reached the 100-point mark (27 goals, 75 assists) for the first time in 2024-25 and will look to keep playing at that level for years to come.

Ivan Barbashev - One of each in shootout loss Barbashev scored a goal on two shots, dished an assist and added five hits in Wednesday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Kings.
Impact Barbashev and Jack Eichel assisted on each other's goals in the third period. The 29-year-old Barbashev played on the top line and saw 15:50 of ice time in the season opener. While the Golden Knights have mixed and matched the forward trios in past years, Barbashev tends to get the largest share of time on the top line, which gives him appeal as a power winger in fantasy. He put up 23 goals, 51 points, 104 hits and a plus-26 rating over 70 regular-season outings last year and has logged at least 45 points in four straight campaigns.
