Mateo Nobert - Showcases playmaking Thursday
Nobert recorded five assists in QMJHL Blainville-Boisbriand's 10-4 win over Newfoundland on Thursday.
Impact
Nobert's passing is regarded as his top skill, and it was on full display in this junior-level romp. The 18-year-old is up to two goals and eight assists over five games this season. He's looking to build upon a 67-point effort over 57 regular-season games from 2024-25. Nobert was picked 85th overall in 2025 by the Golden Knights.

Ben Hutton - Enters lineup, earns assist
Hutton notched an assist in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Sharks.
Impact
Hutton didn't play in Wednesday's season opener versus the Kings, but he drew in for Noah Hanifin (undisclosed) Thursday. The 32-year-old Hutton made just 11 appearances during the 2024-25 regular season, but the Golden Knights' defense isn't as deep as it was last year, which could open the door for him to play more as the next man up. Even if he's in the lineup regularly, don't expect the Ontario native to do much with his minutes -- he hasn't blocked 100 shots in a season since 2018-19, which was also the last time he reached the 20-point and 60-game marks.

Keegan Kolesar - Manages assist Thursday
Kolesar produced an assist in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Sharks.
Impact
Kolesar has four hits over two games to begin the season, in addition to his assist, one shot on net and one blocked shot. Hits are often his biggest source of fantasy value, though with a deep offense in Vegas, it'll be tough for Kolesar to carve out anything more than a fourth-line role. He had a career-high 30 points while averaging 13:12 per game over 82 regular-season appearances last year, but he's posted just 10:00 of ice time per game in 2025-26 so far. In other words, expect some regression across the board if his minutes remain low.

Mark Stone - Dishes two more helpers
Stone produced two assists, two hits and two blocked shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Sharks.
Impact
Stone set up goals by Pavel Dorofeyev and Jack Eichel, both of which were equalizers. That's four helpers in two games to begin the year for Stone, with three of those assists coming on the power play. The 33-year-old winger continues to be a significant part of the Golden Knights' top six and first power-play unit. He's looking like more of a playmaker, which follows a trend from the last two years, but there's no arguing with his production so far in 2025-26.

Brett Howden - Nets goal Thursday
Howden scored a goal on two shots and added two hits in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Sharks.
Impact
Howden has a goal, two shots and five hits over his first two games of the season. The 27-year-old racked up 23 goals and 40 points in 80 regular-season outings last year, but his 18.4 shooting percentage is a red flag for regression. It doesn't help that he's starting 2025-26 in a fourth-line role, though he's often one of the first players to move up when injuries strike or head coach Bruce Cassidy wants to shuffle the forward trios. Howden's physicality gives him a decent floor in fantasy, but don't expect a repeat of last year's offense.

Reilly Smith - Capitalizes in overtime
Smith scored a goal on three shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Sharks.
Impact
Alex Nedeljkovic went out to near the blue line to play a loose puck, but Smith was able to get a stick on it. Shea Theodore corralled the bounce and fed Smith for the goal into the unoccupied net, completing an improbable win for the Golden Knights. The tally was Smith's first point through two games this season, and he's added four shots on net, one hit and one blocked shot. The 34-year-old winger is in a middle-six role and on the second power-play unit, but his age and declining ice time may make it tough for him to reach the 40-point mark for the fourth year in a row.

ROTOWIRE
Pavel Dorofeyev - Ripples twine again
Dorofeyev scored a power-play goal on four shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Sharks.
Impact
Dorofeyev is poised to be a menace to opposing teams as the finisher on the Golden Knights' top power-play unit, at least until they find a way to shut him down. He's already got four goals (three on the power play) over two contests this season while adding nine shots on net. The 24-year-old's third-line role at even strength isn't a concern -- he's a gifted scorer in a deep offense and will get plenty of looks, especially against defenses that lack the resources to match Vegas' depth.

Jack Eichel - Adds two more points
Eichel scored a goal on three shots, added a power-play assist and logged two hits in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Sharks.
Impact
Eichel helped out on a Pavel Dorofeyev tally in the second period before scoring a fluky goal with a favorable bounce on a dump-in that evaded Alex Nedeljkovic late in the third. With two goals and four helpers over two games, Eichel has hit the ground running in 2025-26. He's added eight shots, three hits and a plus-3 rating, and he's earned three of his six points on the power play. The 28-year-old is a must-start in virtually all fantasy formats.

ROTOWIRE
Akira Schmid - Escapes with win
Schmid stopped 20 of 23 shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Sharks.
Impact
Schmid handled the second half of a back-to-back, but he never had a lead to protect. The Sharks took three separate leads, only for the Golden Knights to answer each one. A fluky goal on a dump-in by Jack Eichel tied it late in the third period, and Reilly Smith scored on a misplay by Alex Nedeljkovic to seal the win in overtime. Schmid didn't put a great effort on display in his season debut, but Adin Hill struggled in the season opener versus the Kings on Wednesday. It's still possible the Vegas crease ends up as a timeshare, but Schmid's got a shorter leash if the team opts to upgrade its goaltending group. It'll likely be Hill between the pipes in Seattle on Saturday.
