Barrett Hayton - Won't play versus Ducks Hayton will not be in the lineup against Anaheim on Wednesday, Cole Bagley of KSL Sports reports.
Impact The reason behind Hayton's absence was immediately available, though it's possible he is serving as a healthy scratch, considering he has just one point in his last 15 outings. Regardless, with the 25-year-old center out of the lineup, Daniil But is expected to make his NHL debut versus the Ducks.

Karel Vejmelka - Slated to start Wednesday Vejmelka is expected to start on the road against Anaheim on Wednesday, per Utah radio broadcaster Mike Folta.
Impact Vejmelka will try to get back into the win column after going 0-2-0 while allowing eight goals on 45 shots (.822 save percentage) across his past three appearances. He's 10-7-2 with a 2.87 GAA and an .882 save percentage in 20 outings this season. Anaheim ranks second in goals per game with 3.62.

Maveric Lamoureux - Up from minors Lamoureux was recalled from AHL Tucson on Wednesday.
Impact Lamoureux has nine assists and 19 PIM in 19 outings with Tucson this season. His promotion gives Utah a seventh healthy defenseman on the roster.

Tij Iginla - Gets monthly award Iginla was named the WHL Player of the Month for November on Tuesday.
Impact Iginla, a Mammoth prospect playing for WHL Kelowna, had 11 goals and 13 assists over 15 contests in November. He's been quite productive since returning to the Rockets after returning from an injury sustained during training camp. The 19-year-old forward figures to have a good chance of joining Team Canada for the World Junior Championship later this month, and he could push for an NHL job as soon as the start of the 2026-27 season.

Brandon Tanev - Cold on offense Tanev's point drought reached 22 games in Monday's 6-3 loss to the Sharks.
Impact Tanev has racked up 44 hits but has just 11 shots on net and a minus-9 rating in that span. The 33-year-old winger's reputation as a strong defensive forward is often enough to keep him in the lineup, but the lack of offense is becoming glaring for a Mammoth team that's lost four straight games. Even if Tanev can avoid getting scratched, his fourth-line role should keep most fantasy managers away.

Daniil But - Brought up from minors But was recalled from AHL Tucson on Tuesday.
Impact The Mammoth assigned Dmitri Simashev to the Roadrunners in a corresponding transaction. But, the No. 12 overall pick in 2023, has yet to make his NHL debut, but that could be forthcoming if Utah wants to shake some things up due to the team's current four-game losing streak. The Russian winger has played well in the minors this season, producing eight goals and 17 points across 19 outings.

Liam O'Brien - Minimal playing time in November O'Brien was scratched for the sixth straight game in Monday's 6-3 loss to the Sharks.
Impact O'Brien played just twice over 15 games in November, contributing five hits and five PIM. His trend of sitting in the press box looks set to continue in December, especially since the Mammoth called up top prospect Daniil But, who is likely to get a look in the lineup before O'Brien draws back in. On the year, O'Brien has one goal, 12 shots on net, 15 hits and 12 PIM over eight appearances, and he'll typically only play when the Mammoth need a boost in grit.

Kevin Rooney - On waivers Tuesday Rooney was placed on waivers by the Mammoth on Tuesday.
Impact Rooney's waiver designation could be an indication that Olli Maatta (upper body) or Juuso Valimaki (knee) will be ready to come off injured reserve. Assuming Rooney passes through waivers, he figures to find himself shipped down to AHL Tucson.

Impact Utah also recalled Daniil But and placed Kevin Rooney on waivers during Tuesday's roster shuffle. Simashev has one assist, 23 shots on goal, 26 blocked shots and eight hits in 24 NHL appearances this season. He should receive a starring role in the AHL before a potential call-up to the Mammoth later in the year.

JJ Peterka - Tallies in loss Peterka scored a goal on four shots and added two PIM in Monday's 6-3 loss to the Sharks.
Impact Peterka got a chance on the top line with Clayton Keller and Barrett Hayton in this contest. The 23-year-old Peterka cashed in a goal at 16:00 of the first period to cut the Mammoth's deficit to 3-2, but the Sharks took control in the middle frame. The tally ended a four-game slide for Peterka, who had mainly been in a bottom-six role during the slump. He's now at 10 goals, 17 points, 54 shots on net and a plus-2 rating through 27 outings in his first year in Utah.

Lawson Crouse - Scores twice in loss Crouse scored two goals, one shorthanded, and blocked two shots in Monday's 6-3 loss to the Sharks.
Impact The Mammoth didn't have many standout performances, but Crouse was an exception. The 28-year-old remained on the third line amid a lineup shuffle, and he was able to snap a nine-game goal drought in the first period before adding a second goal in the third. The winger is up to six tallies, five assists, 45 shots on net, 70 hits and a plus-4 rating over 27 appearances. Crouse is always one to keep an eye on in fantasy, as his physical play is consistent, and he gains widespread appeal if he can go on a hot streak on offense.

Vitek Vanecek - Takes loss in relief outing Vanecek stopped 18 of 21 shots in relief of Karel Vejmelka in Monday's 6-3 loss to the Sharks.
Impact Vanecek ended up with the loss since the Mammoth were able to cover the damage Vejmelka left behind in the first period. This was a fifth straight loss for Vanecek (0-4-1), and he's allowed at least three goals in each appearance. On the year, he's 2-5-1 with a 3.11 GAA and an .869 save percentage, numbers that have prevented him from carving out a larger role in Utah's crease even with Vejmelka playing noticeably below his potential. The Mammoth are in Anaheim on Wednesday and then have a back-to-back (Friday in Vancouver, Saturday in Calgary) to close out their current road trip, which should allow both goalies to get game action within the next week.

Vitek Vanecek didn't exactly impress in relief, stopping 18 of 21 shots, but Vejmelka's recent inconsistency could open the door for more of a timeshare in the crease. The Mammoth's road trip continues in Anaheim on Wednesday.
