Impact Laughton remains on injured reserve and will miss his 13th straight game against Pittsburgh on Monday. It remains unclear when he will return to the lineup, but the wait may not be much longer. Once Laughton receives the green light to play, he will likely occupy a bottom-six role.

Steven Lorentz - Not playing Monday Lorentz (upper body) won't play against Pittsburgh on Monday, according to Luke Fox of Sportsnet.
Impact Lorentz participated in Monday's morning skate and is feeling much better, but he will miss his second straight game. However, he hopes to be an option for Wednesday's contest against Utah. Lorentz has contributed four assists, eight shots on goal, five blocked shots and 18 hits through eight appearances this season.

Impact The Maple Leafs recalled Dakota Mermis from AHL Toronto in a corresponding move. Tanev missed four straight outings due to a concussion before returning to the lineup against Philadelphia on Saturday. However, he suffered another injury in the contest, and he will miss at least the next three games after landing back on the IR list. It's unclear when he will be available to return to the lineup.

Impact The injury to Chris Tanev was serious enough to land him on injured reserve, and the corresponding move made was to bring Mermis up from the AHL. The 31-year-old has appeared in just three games between the AHL and NHL levels so far this season, recording no points in any of them. He will likely just serve as depth for now.

Impact In a scary play, Tanev was injured Saturday after a collision with Matvei Michkov, and he had to be stretchered off the ice. It remains to be seen how much time, if any, the 35-year-old will miss. The defenseman has two assists in eight appearances this year.

Calle Jarnkrok - Gets empty-netter in win Jarnkrok scored an empty-net goal, added two PIM and levied three hits in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Flyers.
Impact Jarnkrok briefly had to leave the game after taking a shot off the lower body, but the 34-year-old was able to return. He was just coming back from a two-game absence due to a different lower-body issue. He's now at four goals, 11 shots on net, six hits, four PIM and a minus-4 rating over nine appearances this season. Jarnkrok's steady defensive play makes him a good fit for the bottom six, but he probably won't score consistently enough to help in many fantasy formats.

Anthony Stolarz - Secures another win Stolarz stopped 31 of 33 shots in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Flyers.
Impact Stolarz allowed a goal early in the first period to Christian Dvorak and one late in the third, scored by Tyson Foerster on the power play. In between, the Maple Leafs scored four times, and Stolarz was sharp to maintain the lead they built throughout the final frame. The 31-year-old netminder is now 4-4-1 on the year with a 3.13 GAA and an .893 save percentage through nine starts. The Maple Leafs are set to return home for the next four games, beginning with Monday's matchup against the Penguins.
