The 24-year-old Hildeby has a 2-2-1 record with a 2.74 GAA and an .890 save percentage through five minor-league appearances this campaign. Hildeby could make his NHL season debut when Toronto hosts Carolina on Sunday.

Chris Tanev - Returns to ice
Tane (upper body) was back skating Saturday, Mark Masters of TSN reports.
Impact
Tanev was stretchered off the ice Nov. 1 in Philadelphia in what was believed to be whiplash. The veteran defenseman is eligible to return from injured reserve Saturday against the Bruins, but will likely need to sit this one out. Tanev has two assists in eight games this season.

Travis Boyd - Erupts for four points in AHL win
Boyd scored twice and added two assists in AHL Toronto's 5-2 win over Hershey on Friday.
Impact
Boyd was once with Hershey while in the Capitals' organization, so this might have been a bit of a revenge game for the veteran forward. He's up to seven goals and four assists over nine outings in 2025-26. Boyd is playing well with the Marlies, but his path to the NHL is closed unless the Maple Leafs need to replenish their bottom-six forward depth at some point down the line.

Ben Danford - Two helpers against former OHL team
Danford posted two assists in OHL Brantford's 5-4 win over Oshawa on Friday.
Impact
Danford was traded to Brantford from Oshawa last Friday. The move has done wonders for Danford's offense, as he has six assists in four games with the Bulldogs after logging just four points in eight outings with the Generals to begin the year. The Maple Leafs prospect should benefit from playing in the OHL's leading offense -- Brantford has 96 goals this year, 11 more than the next closest team.

Cayden Primeau - Placed on waivers
Primeau was placed on waivers Friday, Chris Johnston of The Athletic reports.
Impact
Primeau's status was determined when Joseph Woll (personal) returned to Toronto after missing five weeks of action. While Primeau could be sent to AHL Toronto if he passes through waivers, the Maple Leafs will likely recall Dennis Hildeby to back up Anthony Stolarz while Woll is on a conditioning stint with the Marlies.

Joseph Woll - Headed to AHL Toronto
Woll (personal) will be sent to AHL Toronto for a conditioning stint, Lance Hornby of The Toronto Sun reports Friday.
Impact
Woll has yet to see any game action, as he took a leave of absence early in training camp. The 27-year-old netminder was outstanding last season with the Maple Leafs, posting a 27-14-1 record with a 2.73 GAA and a .909 save percentage across 42 regular-season games. He should return within two weeks and will share the crease with Anthony Stolarz upon his return.

Simon Benoit - Practicing Friday
Benoit (illness) practiced Friday, according to Mark Masters of TSN.
Impact
Benoit was forced to miss Wednesday's tilt against Utah. the 27-year-old defenseman has two assists, 33 hits and 21 blocked shots across 13 appearances this season. Benoit has surpassed the 200-hit mark in each of his last three seasons and is on track to do so again in 2025-26. He should return to the lineup versus Boston on Saturday with Dakota Mermis likely to be the odd-man out.

Auston Matthews - Tallies in Wednesday's win
Matthews scored a goal on two shots in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Mammoth.
Impact
Matthews is heating up with three goals and an assist over three outings in November. The 28-year-old had been limited to one helper over the three contests to close out October. He's produced eight goals, 12 points, 57 shots on net, 27 blocked shots, 12 hits, six PIM and a plus-10 rating through 14 appearances as the centerpiece of Toronto's offense.

ROTOWIRE
Jake McCabe - Two more helpers in win
McCabe notched two assists in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Mammoth.
Impact
The veteran blueliner has remarkably put together a four-game point streak, and over the last six contests he's erupted for a goal and six points despite not having a spot on either of Toronto's usual power-play units. McCabe has never produced more than 28 points in an NHL season (eight goals, 20 assists over 73 regular-season games in 2023-24) however, so his sudden surge of offense isn't likely to last.
