Matthew Knies - Still being evaluated Head coach Craig Berube said Thursday that Knies (upper body) is still being evaluated but is "feeling okay," Dave McCarthy of NHL.com reports.
Impact Knies exited Wednesday's game against the Golden Knights due to an upper-body injury, and the severity of the issue isn't yet known. However, it's encouraging that the 22-year-old was feeling better a day after sustaining his injury, and he should be considered day-to-day for now. Whether he'll be available for Sunday's game against Utah remains to be seen.

Impact After setting up Fraser Minten for the game's opening goal in the first period, Nylander wired home a tally of his own early in the third. The 28-year-old has six multi-point performances in the last 11 contests, piling up eight goals and 15 points over that stretch. Nylander fell just short of his first career 100-point season in 2023-24 and has scored 40 goals in back-to-back campaigns, and both marks are very much in play for him this season.

Fraser Minten - First career goal a game-winner Minten scored the game-winning goal in Wednesday's 3-0 victory over the Golden Knights.
Impact In just his fifth career NHL game and his first of the season, the 2022 second-round pick opened the scoring by snapping home a slick feed from William Nylander midway through the first period. That was all the offense Joseph Woll would need on the night. Minten missed the beginning of the campaign with an ankle injury, but in five games for AHL Toronto after getting healthy he recorded two goals and four points. The 20-year-old has the skills, speed and hockey IQ to fill a middle-six role for the Maple Leafs while the team deals with a rash of injuries, and he even saw some power-play shifts Wednesday. Minten could have some short-term fantasy value until the Toronto forward ranks are closer to full strength.

Impact It's the 26-year-old's first shutout of the season, and the second of his career. Woll has won three straight starts and has worked his way back into a timeshare with Anthony Stolarz, and through four outings in November he's gone 3-1-0 with a 1.74 GAA and .931 save percentage.
