Joseph Woll - Trying to bounce back Woll will protect the road goal versus the Blue Jackets on Wednesday, Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers reports.
Impact Woll took the loss versus the Canadiens on Saturday, allowing four goals on 25 shots before he was pulled for Dennis Hildeby. Over four games this season, Woll has allowed 12 goals on 116 shots for an .897 save percentage. The Blue Jackets are without Kirill Marchenko (upper body), which may make this a slightly easier assignment for Woll and the Maple Leafs.

Impact Toronto also reassigned Jacob Quillan to AHL Toronto so that Auston Matthews and Nicolas Roy could be activated off injured reserve ahead of Wednesday's game against Columbus. Jacob Quillan - Returns to AHL Quillan was reassigned to AHL Toronto on Wednesday, per David Alter of The Hockey News.
Impact Auston Matthews (lower body) and Nicolas Roy (upper body) are being activated off injured reserve to return Wednesday versus Columbus, so Quillan is being returned to the minors to free up a roster spot. The 23-year-old Quillan has no points, one shot and six hits in two appearances with the Maple Leafs in 2025-26.

Impact Matthews missed the last five games due to his lower-body injury, but he was trending in the right direction ahead of Wednesday's matchup and will officially be cleared to suit up. He's recorded nine goals, five assists, 31 blocked shots, 13 hits and six PIM while averaging 21:15 of ice time over 17 appearances this season.
