Impact Eyssimont missed practice Friday. The 28-year-old has three goals, two assists, 37 hits and 58 shots on goal in 31 games this season. He is questionable for Saturday's tilt against the Rangers.

Erik Cernak - Provides helper in win Cernak logged a shorthanded assist, three shots on goal, four hits and two PIM in Monday's 4-0 win over the Panthers.
Impact Cernak set up Brandon Hagel's shorthanded empty-netter to close out the scoring in the third period. The helper was Cernak's second over seven outings in December -- he also missed two games due to a lower-body injury. The veteran defenseman has eight helpers, 23 shots on net, 70 hits, 40 blocked shots, 14 PIM and a plus-12 rating through 30 appearances. Injuries are often a concern since Cernak plays such a physically taxing style, but he's got an outside chance of matching his career high of 18 points from 2020-21 if he stays healthy.

Mitchell Chaffee - Nets power-play goal Chaffee scored a power-play goal on three shots and added two PIM in Monday's 4-0 win over the Panthers.
Impact Chaffee has scored twice over the last four contests, and both goals have come on the power play. He's starting to take hold with the second unit this season after never previously getting much of a look with the man advantage. Chaffee is already enjoying a career year with seven goals, 11 points, 29 shots on net, 35 hits and a plus-5 rating through 28 appearances, mainly in a third-line role.

Impact Guentzel scored for the first time since the end of his seven-game goal streak that ran from Nov. 30 to Dec. 17. The winger was able to convert at 9:20 of the first period. He's been an excellent fit with the Lightning in his first season with the team, racking up 19 goals, 16 helpers, 91 shots on net, 29 blocked shots and a plus-10 rating through 32 appearances.

Impact Both helpers came in the first period, including one on a Mitchell Chaffee tally with the man advantage. Cirelli has slowed down a little, getting onto the scoresheet in just five of his last 11 appearances, but he still heads into the holiday break with an impressive 13 goals and 30 points through 31 contests.

Impact Both helpers came in the first period, as the veteran blueliner had a hand in tallies by Nikita Kucherov and Jake Guentzel. Hedman's goal drought has reached 14 appearances, but he's been plenty productive over that stretch with 12 assists, including four on the power play.

Impact The 29-year-old backup goalie delivered his first shutout of the season in impressive fashion, as Tampa Bay was out-shot 36-29 on the night. Johansson has been sharp of late despite a lack of consistent action -- he's won three straight starts dating back to Nov. 29, allowing just three goals on 89 shots over that stretch. With Andrei Vasilevskiy also having an excellent December though (2.17 GAA, .918 save percentage), Johansson's opportunities figure to remain limited on the other side of the holiday break.

Impact Kucherov notched his 15th goal of the season just under seven minutes into the first period and appeared to be in line for a big night, firing five shots on net in his 6:12 of ice time before getting the boot. Tkachuk had to be helped off the ice but was able to return to the game -- even so, Kucherov could be facing some additional discipline from the league.
