Impact Knight has spent the entire 2023-24 campaign in the minors with the Checkers, logging 45 regular-season contests in which he posted a 25-14-5 record and .905 save percentage. Even with his promotion, Knight shouldn't be expected to get into any games, primarily serving as an emergency option behind Sergei Bobrovsky and Anthony Stolarz.

While the Panthers made it to the Stanley Cup Finals without him, Knight will look to reclaim his place as a part of a goaltending tandem with Sergei Bobrovsky. The Panthers also signed Anthony Stolarz this offseason, so there's no guarantee Knight begins 2023-24 in the NHL unless the team carries three netminders. Given his talent and upside potential, Knight could still win the backup job outright.

Impact It's been a tough season for Knight who was expected to at least share the Florida goaltending duties alongside Sergei Bobrovsky. Knight was sent to AHL Charlotte over a week ago after a 9-8-3 record with the big club in 21 appearances. He has a 3.18 GAA and .901 save percentage in the NHL this season, but he didn't play for the Checkers after he was sent down nine days ago. His demotion to AHL Charlotte has been canceled.

Impact Bobrovsky took the loss, but Knight wasn't a whole lot sharper, and neither goalie got much help from their defense. Knight has allowed seven goals on 41 shots over two appearances since returning from an upper-body injury, and he'll likely remain behind Bobrovsky in the pecking order until he begins to string together some solid performances.
