Impact Benoit accounted for three goals, seven assists, 60 PIM, 128 blocked shots and 216 hits in 78 games with Anaheim last season. The 24-year-old will compete for a depth spot on Toronto's defense corps during training camp.

Doesn't receive qualifying offer Benoit wasn't given a qualifying offer by the Ducks, which will result in him becoming an unrestricted free agent Saturday, CapFriendly reports.

Impact Benoit had three goals, 10 points, 60 PIM, 216 hits and 128 blocks in 78 outings in 2022-23. He completed a one-year, $750,000 contract and the Ducks would have had to make him a one-year, $787,500 qualifying offer in order to keep his exclusive negotiating rights.

Impact This was Benoit's first multi-point game of the campaign, and he has three goals and nine points in 65 appearances overall. He's better known for his work without the puck, and he continued to show up in that regard Friday. Benoit remains Anaheim's 2022-23 leader in hits (182) and blocks (115) after recording three and two, respectively, against Columbus.

Benoit is hardly a big scoring threat with seven points through 62 contests. He's added 172 hits, 108 blocks, 67 shots on net, 54 PIM and a minus-21 rating, though the physicality likely won't outweigh the lack of offense in fantasy.
