Max Pacioretty - Nets first goal with Caps Pacioretty scored a goal on his lone shot in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Kraken.
Impact Pacioretty was responsible for Washington's lone tally in the second period Thursday, as he one-timed an Alex Ovechkin feed past Joey Daccord to cut Seattle's lead to 2-1. It's Pacioretty's first goal and second point in four games with the Capitals this season, after missing nearly a year while recovering from a torn Achilles. The veteran winger played just three games with the Hurricanes in 2022-23, scoring three goals.

Alex Ovechkin - Playing through injury Ovechkin (lower body) is considered "touch and go" according to coach Spencer Carbery against the Rangers on Saturday, Bailey Johnson of The Washington Post reports.
Impact Ovechkin was a game-time decision against Seattle on Thursday but still managed to suit up, logging 16:40 of ice time on his way to a sixth straight game with a point. The world-class winger is clearly playing through something right now and with a back-to-back versus the Rangers on Saturday and Sunday, it could make sense for the Caps to rest Ovechkin for one of those two games.

Tom Wilson - Looking to play Saturday Wilson (face) is hoping to suit up against the Rangers on Saturday, Tarik El-Bashir of Monumental Sports Network reports.
Impact Wilson has been practicing with a full shield after suffering a facial injury against the Kings on Sunday. The winger was considered a game-time call against Seattle on Thursday but was ultimately ruled out of that contest. If Wilson does play Saturday, he should slot into a top-six role, which could drop Hendrix Lapierre from the lineup entirely.

Sonny Milano - Wearing non-contact jersey Friday Milano (upper body) practiced in a non-contact jersey Friday, according to Bailey Johnson of The Washington Post.
Impact Milano has been on the ice at practice this week and has yet to be cleared for contact. The 27-year-old winger last played four weeks ago. Milano has four goals, four assists and 20 shots on goal in 23 games this season. He will compete for ice time on the fourth line with Nicolas Aube-Kubel and Matthew Phillips upon his return.

Rasmus Sandin - Practicing in non-contact jersey Sandin (upper body) practiced in a non-contact jersey Friday, Bailey Johnson of The Washington Post reports.
Impact Sandin was injured Jan. 3 and is eligible to return to action off injured reserve at any time. Sandin has yet to score this season after lighting the lamp seven times last year, but he does have 11 assists in 36 games. Look for Joel Edmundson to become the seventh defenseman, upon the return of Sandin to the lineup.
