Mikael Granlund - Doesn't practice Sunday Granlund didn't participate in Sunday's practice session due to a lower-body injury, Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now reports.
Impact Despite Granlund's absence from practice, head coach Ryan Warsofsky didn't rule the 32-year-old out for Monday's road game against Boston. Granlund hasn't missed a game since late November, and over eight appearances in January, he's logged a goal, two assists, seven blocked shots, three hits and a minus-5 rating while averaging 20:17 of ice time.
JANUARY 20, 2025 ROTOWIRE
Timothy Liljegren - Practices Sunday Liljegren (illness) participated in Sunday's practice, per Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now.
Impact Liljegren should be available for Monday's game against Boston after sitting out Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Islanders. Marc-Edouard Vlasic played through an illness in Saturday's defeat and skipped Sunday's practice. Still, Vlasic could play versus the Bruins on Monday. Henry Thrun might be a healthy scratch if Liljegren and Vlasic are in Monday's lineup.

Tyler Toffoli - Won't play Monday Toffoli (lower body) won't play against Boston on Monday, per Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now.
Impact Toffoli will miss his second straight game and remains day-to-day. He has generated 17 goals, 30 points and 131 shots on net in 47 appearances this season. Carl Grundstrom replaced Toffoli in Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Islanders, while Ty Dellandrea moved into a top-six role.

Pierre Engvall - Slumping once again Engvall was held off the scoresheet for the ninth straight game in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Sharks.
Impact His 12:06 of ice time Saturday was his second-most in any game during the drought. Engvall has been confined to the fourth line, which isn't going to help him break his slump. He's likely to stick in the lineup through the duration of Maxim Tsyplakov's suspension, but Engvall could find himself as a healthy scratch again in the near future. Engvall does have a little security -- he needs waivers to be sent to AHL Bridgeport, though it's unlikely any other team would place a claim on a player with seven points over 30 outings who has five more years left on his contract following 2024-25.
JANUARY 19, 2025 ROTOWIRE
Adam Pelech - Collects helper in Saturday's win Pelech notched an assist, two hits and three blocked shots in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Sharks.
Impact Pelech ended a five-game slump with the helper on a Brock Nelson tally in the second period. For the season, Pelech has eight assists, 52 shots on net, 39 hits and 39 blocked shots through 25 contests. The 30-year-old remains in a top-four role on defense, but he's more of a shutdown player than a scorer.
JANUARY 19, 2025 ROTOWIRE
Anthony Duclair - Picks up assist Saturday Duclair notched an assist and went plus-2 in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Sharks.
Impact Duclair had three points over three contests following his return from a lower-body injury, but he followed it up with an eight-game slump. That drought ended Saturday when he set up Ryan Pulock's third-period tally. Between his long-term absence and a middle-six role, Duclair's first season as an Islander has not gone well so far. He has seven points, 22 shots on net and a minus-4 rating over 17 appearances.
