Impact Shea has earned three helpers over four games to begin the year. The 28-year-old continues to play on the second pairing alongside Kris Letang, with Shea handling more of a shutdown role. Shea has added eight blocks and a plus-2 rating, so he's getting the job done on the defensive side.

Impact Brazeau has four goals over four games to begin 2025-26. It's arguably one of the most surprising happenings in the league early in the campaign, though Brazeau's strong play has earned him a look alongside Evgeni Malkin on the second line. Brazeau has added 10 shots on net, seven hits, six blocked shots and a plus-1 rating. The 27-year-old has typically featured in a bottom-six role in his previous NHL stops in Minnesota and Boston, so he should have no trouble handling business in his own zone.

Anthony Mantha - Tickles twine in loss Mantha scored a goal in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Ducks.
Impact Mantha's goal came on a deflected shot that caromed off a defender's stick. The 31-year-old has started 2025-26 in a top-six role for the Penguins after signing a one-year contract in early July. The winger missed most of last season due to ACL surgery, but he hasn't started slow, earning three points, five shots on net, five hits and a plus-2 rating over four appearances. Mantha put up 44 points between the Capitals and the Golden Knights in 2023-24, and that could be within his range of outcomes if he maintains a prominent role for Pittsburgh.

Impact The Penguins took a quick 2-0 lead in the first period but couldn't keep it. Late penalties took a toll, and Chris Kreider's second power-play goal of the game beat Jarry with 1:27 left in the third period to decide the contest. With seven goals allowed on 59 shots, Jarry is off to a mediocre start over his first two outings of the campaign. He's been sharing the crease with Arturs Silovs, and that seems likely to continue unless one goalie rattles off a long winning streak. The Penguins' road trip continues in Los Angeles on Thursday.
