Philip Tomasino - Waived by team Tomasino was waived by the Penguins on Tuesday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Impact Tomasino has struggled this season, notching just one assist in nine appearances while averaging 12:10 of ice time. Still, the 24-year-old forward notched 11 goals and 12 assists in 50 regular-season games with the Penguins last year and could draw some interest on the waiver wire. Potentially moving Tomasino to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton could be an indication that one of the Pens' injured forwards is ready to return, or it could be a sign somebody else will be coming up from the minors.

Gabriel D'Aigle - Earns weekly honors D'Aigle was named the QMJHL Player of the Week on Monday.
Impact D'Aigle won both of his games for QMJHL Victoriaville last week, allowing three goals on 66 shots in wins over Shawinigan and Gatineau. For the season, D'Aigle hasn't done all that well with a 4.28 GAA and an .886 save percentage, but this past week was a flash of what made the Penguins elect him 84th overall in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft. Victoriaville is just 8-10-3 through 21 games this season, ranking at the bottom of the QMJHL's Eastern Conference, which will explain a large portion of D'Aigle's struggles so far.

Jack St. Ivany - Wearing non-contact jersey St. Ivany (lower body) took the ice Tuesday in a non-contact sweater, Seth Rorabaugh of Tribune-Review Sports reports.
Impact St. Ivany was injured during the preseason and was given a six-week recovery timeline. At this point, once the 26-year-old blueliner is cleared to play, he will likely be reassigned to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in order to get his legs back under him. Barring some significant changes to the Pens' blue line via injury or trade, St. Ivany will be hard-pressed to break into the Penguins' lineup.

Ville Koivunen - Headed for injured reserve Koivunen (lower body) is considered week-to-week and has been placed on injured reserve Tuesday.
Impact Koivunen was injured while playing in the Global Series against Nashville and is not facing some time on the shelf. The 22-year-old winger has yet to find the back of the net this year, recording just two assists, 13 shots and seven blocks in 11 outings. Sam Poulin was recalled from AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in a corresponding move.

Impact Poulin joins the NHL roster after Ville Koivunen (lower body) was placed on injured reserve in a corresponding move. The 24-year-old Poulin has been lighting it up in the minors, racking up seven goals and eight helpers in 16 minor-league tilts with the Baby Pens. If Poulin gets into Friday's matchup with the Wild, it will likely mean a demotion to the press box for either Danton Heinen or Joona Koppanen.

With his first goal since Nov. 6, Crosby is up to 12 twine finders on the season, which is tied for fifth across the NHL and trails the league leader, Colorado's Nathan MacKinnon, by two goals. Impact Murashov followed up his solid debut with a stellar performance that included five saves at a man disadvantage to help lift the Penguins over the Predators. With the shutout, the 21-year-old netminder has a 1-1-0 record with a 1.52 GAA and a .938 save percentage across the first two appearances of his career. He has filled in admirably so far while Tristan Jarry (lower-body) has been sidelined. Regardless of whether Murashov is sent back to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton once Jarry returns, he should grab a few more starts at the NHL level to showcase his skills. For now, Murashov is a solid spot start with the right matchup in fantasy.
