Ben Kindel - Likes playing Leafs Kindel scored a goal Saturday in a 7-2 loss to Toronto.
Impact He batted it baseball-style off Scott Laughton's shoulder and past Dennis Hildeby. It came on the power play. In an odd twist, half of Kindel's six goals have come against the Maple Leafs. He put up two in Toronto on Nov. 3. Kindel has six goals, three assists, three PPG, six PPP and 42 shots in 21 games this season. Not bad for an 18-year-old who was drafted five months ago.

Tristan Jarry - Appears in relief Jarry made 10 saves in relief Saturday in a 7-2 loss to the Maple Leafs.
Impact Arturs Silovs took the loss after surrendering four goals on 10 shots. Jarry replaced him after recording 26 saves in a 4-3 overtime win over Columbus on Nov. 28. Silovs has really struggled lately, and Jarry carried two consecutive wins this week into this appearance. Silovs performed well earlier in the season, and the two goalies may time share starts. But the Pens could easily roll the hottest hand, and that's Jarry right now.

Arturs Silovs - Rough outing leads to early yank Silovs allowed four goals on 10 shots before being pulled just 4:53 into the second period of Saturday's 7-2 loss to Toronto.
Impact Oh boy -- Silovs has allowed eight goals on 20 shots in his last two starts. His last win was on Nov. 6 against the Capitals, and he's gone 0-2-2 in four starts since. Tristan Jarry replaced him and made 10 saves in relief.

Sidney Crosby - Moves into 15th all-time in goals Crosby had a goal and an assist Saturday in a 7-2 loss to Toronto.
Impact It was a Crosby backhander, and it was his 16th snipe this season. That moved him into a tie with Kirill Kaprizov for third overall this season. The goal was Crosby's 641st in the NHL, which moved him past Dave Andreychuk into 15th all-time. Next on the list is Brendan Shanahan, who has 656.

Impact Silovs will get the second half of Pittsburgh's back-to-back after Tristan Jarry played in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over Columbus. The 24-year-old Silovs has a 4-3-4 record with one shutout, a 2.74 GAA and a .907 save percentage through 11 appearances this season. Toronto sits eighth in the league with 3.25 goals per game during the 2025-26 campaign.
