Jack St. Ivany - Activated off injured non-roster St. Ivany (lower body) was activated off injured non-roster Thursday.
Impact St. Ivany hasn't played for Pittsburgh yet this season, but he did score a goal and five points across five appearances with AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton as part of a conditioning stint. The 26-year-old is now an option to draw into the lineup, but he might not do so Thursday versus Montreal. Pittsburgh has eight healthy defenseman on its active roster, including St. Ivany.

Impact Murashov picked up his eighth win and second shutout in 11 outings for the Baby Pens this season. He's 8-2-0 with a 1.56 GAA and a .943 save percentage in the AHL, and he also went 1-1-1 with a shutout over four games in the NHL. Impact Novak has three goals and two assists during a four-game point streak to open December. He's at five goals, 14 points, 40 shots and a minus-2 rating through 28 outings overall. His strong play recently has opened the door for him to see top-six minutes, and that's enough to also get him on the fantasy radar until his offense fades.

Anthony Mantha - Scores on power play Mantha scored a power-play goal on four shots in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Ducks.
Impact Mantha's goal put the Penguins up 3-2 in the third period, but Beckett Sennecke tied the game for the Ducks with 0.1 seconds left in regulation. With three points over four games in December, Mantha has already matched his total from November, which could signal a stronger month to come. The 31-year-old winger is at nine goals, 17 points (three on the power play), 49 shots on net and a plus-11 rating through 28 appearances this season. Impact He got the Pens on the board in the first period when his face-off win came back to him after it went off a skate, and he wired a wrist shot past Ville Husso from the left circle. It was Acciari's first goal of the season. He has five points in 15 games, and he's never going to replicate his 20-goal, Cy Young season in Florida in 2019-20. Acciari's limited fantasy value comes from his ability to hit -- he delivered 180 of those last season, but with his limited contributions in other categories, we can't recommend him.

Impact He was unlucky, too -- the game-tying goal with 0.1 second left in the third period went in off his glove, forcing overtime and ultimately the shootout. Karlsson is having another strong season. He has 20 points, including 19 assists, in 28 games, but unless he goes on a real tear, there's no way he can hit double digit snipes. Still, Karlsson is a strong fantasy play.

Arturs Silovs - Heartbreaking loss Silovs made 26 saves in a 4-3 shootout loss to the Ducks on Tuesday.
Impact The guy simply cannot catch a break. Silovs was 0.1 seconds from a regulation win when Beckett Sennecke shovelled a puck into the net to force OT. And his opponent, Ville Husso, put on a 44-save clinic at the other end of the ice. Silovs is 1-3-5 in his last nine starts. Prior to Tuesday, he was pulled in two consecutive games. There is no reason to consider him a fantasy option right now.
