Kris Letang - Gets on scoresheet with helper Letang logged an assist, six shots on goal, two hits and a minus-2 rating in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the Wild.
Impact Letang snapped a six-game point drought, which came after he registered a point in three straight contests early on. The 37-year-old's defense has been lacking this year as well -- he has a minus-8 rating and just eight blocked shots over 11 appearances. Letang has added four points, 27 shots on net, 20 hits and eight PIM. He's still on the top power-play unit, but with the Penguins struggling in their own zone, there's less upside in Letang's game than there has been in previous years.

Valtteri Puustinen - Scores power-play goal Tuesday Puustinen scored a power-play goal in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the Wild.
Impact Puustinen found the back of the net in the power play during the first period, but he didn't do much else the rest of the way. This was his first shot of the campaign in three appearances, so he's not likely to be a major contributor on offense for the Penguins in his bottom-six role.

Rickard Rakell - Nets two goals Tuesday Rakell scored two goals and took five shots in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the Wild.
Impact Rakell found the back of the net in the first and third period, but his efforts were not enough to prevent a sixth straight defeat for Pittsburgh. The 31-year-old center has recorded points in seven of his last nine appearances, though this was his first multi-point game of the season.

Sidney Crosby - Assists in all three goals Crosby had three assists, including one on the power play, in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the Wild.
Impact Crosby isn't showing any signs of slowing down, even if he's not the dominant, do-it-all-on-his-own forward he used to be during his prime years. Regardless of the Penguins' overall struggles, the star center is up to seven points across his last seven games, although the lack of consistency has been an issue. During that seven-game stretch, Crosby has two outings with three points and four in which he didn't crack the scoresheet. On the season, the 37-year-old has 10 points, with one goal and nine helpers, in 11 outings.

Joel Blomqvist - Gives up four goals Tuesday Blomqvist stopped 34 of 38 shots in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the Wild. The fifth goal was an empty-netter with 19 seconds left in the third period.
Impact The Penguins raced to a 2-0 lead in the first period, but Minnesota responded with four unanswered goals to build an advantage they'd never relinquish. Blomqvist hasn't had a good start to the season and has been defeated in four of his last five appearances, going 1-4-0 with a 3.56 GAA in that span, although with a .909 save percentage. Expect Alex Nedeljkovic to remain as the Penguins' starting goalie for the foreseeable future.
