Inks one-year deal with Florida Desrosiers signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Panthers on Wednesday.

Impact Desrosiers spent the 2019-20 season with AHL Springfield, compiling a 16-10-2 record while posting a 3.05 GAA and .916 save percentage. He's expected to slot in as the No. 4 netminder on the Panthers' organizational depth chart, so it's safe to assume he won't see any NHL action next season.

Not qualified by Panthers Desrosiers was not qualified by the Panthers, meaning he will become a UFA on Friday.

Impact Desrosiers made 29 appearances with AHL Springfield last year, posting a mediocre 3.05 GAA and a .916 save percentage as well as a 16-10-2 record. The 25-year-old goalie was going to have a tough time vaulting past Samuel Montembeault or Chris Driedger on the depth chart for the Panthers. He'll pursue other options either in the minors or in Europe for 2020-21.

Headlines roster additions Tippett has been called up for the Panthers' Phase 3 training camp.

Impact Tippett failed to register a game for the club this season despite racking up 40 points in 46 contests with AHL Springfield. For now, the club will continue utilizing Mark Pysyk as a forward, but Tippett's scoring touch could persuade team brass to insert him into the lineup. In addition to Tippet, the organization brought in forward Eetu Luostarinen, defensemen Brady Keeper and Chase Priskie and netminders Samuel Montembeault and Philippe Desrosiers.
