Sent down to minors Daws was reassigned to AHL Utica on Wednesday.
Impact Daws played in just three games for the Devils this season, posting a 2-1-0 record, 2.62 GAA and .908 save percentage. With both Jacob Markstrom and Jake Allen still under contract next year, Daws' path to significant NHL opportunities seems blocked, though perhaps he can force his way into the conversation during training camp.

Recovers after rough first period Daws made 22 saves in a 4-0 loss to Boston on Tuesday.
Impact Daws had a rough first period. The first goal got past him with just 53 seconds ticked off the clock, and the gates opened. Daws allowed all four goals in the first frame, including two in a 2:10 span at the end of the period. He found his feet after the first intermission, but his teammates didn't show up offensively to help bail him out. Daws delivered a 15-16-8 record with a 2.84 GAA and .891 save percentage in the AHL this season, and he's at the end of his current contract. He'll likely be renewed in his current role for 2026-27, as both Jacob Markstrom and Jake Allen are inked for several years.

Starting in Boston Daws will guard the road goal against the Bruins on Tuesday, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.
Impact Daws is coming off a 27-save effort in Sunday's 4-3 overtime win over Ottawa. He has a 2-0-0 record in two NHL appearances this season, stopping 57 of 61 shots. Boston ranks 11th in the league during the 2025-26 campaign with 3.26 goals per game.
APRIL 14 • ROTOWIRE
Picks up overtime win Daws stopped 27 of 30 shots in Sunday's 4-3 overtime win over the Senators.
Impact Daws will likely finish the regular season in the NHL because Jacob Markstrom (undisclosed) was shut down Friday due to nagging injuries. With just one more game on the schedule, it's unclear if Daws will get another chance to prove himself. The 25-year-old has earned the win in both of his NHL games in 2025-26, allowing a total of four goals on 61 shots. He's also posted a 15-16-11 record with a 2.84 GAA and an .891 save percentage over 42 appearances with AHL Utica. He is slated to be a restricted free agent in the summer, but his outlook for NHL playing time isn't great since Markstrom and Jake Allen are also under contract for next season.

Impact Daws was recalled Friday from AHL Utica, where he was 15-16-8 with a 2.84 GAA and an .891 save percentage across 42 appearances. He won his only start in the NHL this season, stopping 30 shots in 4-1 win over Minnesota.

Called up by New Jersey Daws was recalled from AHL Utica on Friday.
Impact Daws has appeared in just one game for the Devils this season, but he'll join the NHL club for practice Friday. It's not yet clear whether he'll remain with New Jersey for the team's back-to-back set against Detroit and Ottawa on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, but if Jacob Markstrom and Jake Allen are available, they'll likely be the Devils' top goaltending options.

Logs shutout for Utica Daws posted a 21-save shutout in AHL Utica's 4-0 win over Belleville on Saturday.
Impact Daws earned his second shutout of the year with this performance. He's had a bit of a challenging campaign, going 15-16-7 with a 2.81 GAA and an .892 save percentage over 41 appearances for the Comets. Daws has won four of his last five games and is trying to end the year strong.
APRIL 5 • ROTOWIRE
Earns first shutout of AHL season Daws posted a 19-save shutout in AHL Utica's 3-0 win over Belleville on Friday.
Impact Daws has gone 2-2-0 with a 1.51 GAA and a .942 save percentage over four games with Utica. He also won his lone NHL appearance while with the Devils during the absence of Jacob Markstrom, who battled a lower-body injury in October. Daws is brimming with potential should he get another extended look in the NHL at some point despite bumpy numbers over the last two AHL campaigns.

Back to AHL Daws has been reassigned by the Devils to AHL Utica, the team announced Sunday.
Impact With the surprise news that Jacob Markstrom would dress and be the backup goaltender Sunday, Daws was pushed to number three goaltender status, and therefore, he is not needed at the NHL level. The 24-year-old will head back to the AHL with one NHL start under his belt, a very good one in which he stopped 30 of 31 shots against the Wild.
OCTOBER 26, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Earns win in season debut Daws stopped 29 of 30 shots in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Wild.
Impact Hadn't it been for Matt Boldy's third-period goal, Daws would've opened the season with a shutout. Daws will continue to operate as the backup behind Jake Allen as long as Jakob Markstrom (lower body) remains out, so his fantasy value will not only be minimal, but it will also be matchup-dependant.

Set to start Wednesday Daws will serve as the starting netminder for Wednesday's home game against the Wild, James Nichols of New Jersey Hockey Now reports.
Impact Daws was recalled from AHL Utica last Wednesday, and he'll have an opportunity to make his season debut against Minnesota. He made six regular-season appearances for the Devils last year, going 3-1-0 with a 1.60 GAA and .939 save percentage.
