Luca Romano - Three-point effort in loss Romano scored a goal on two shots and added two assists in OHL Kitchener's 4-3 loss to Barrie on Saturday.
Impact Romano was in on every goal for Kitchener, but it wasn't enough. The 18-year-old Islanders prospect has four goals and five assists over 11 OHL outings this season. His offense spiked from 22 points in 56 games in 2023-24 to 25 goals and 51 points in 67 outings last season, which was enough for him to 74th overall in 2025. He's a speedy skater, and while the offense isn't anywhere near that of a top prospect, his two-way game is strong, giving him third-line potential as an NHLer eventually.

Matvei Michkov - Nets winner in shootout Michkov picked up an assist and scored the winner in the shootout in a 4-3 victory over the Islanders on Saturday.
Impact The 20-year-old winger has had a slow start this season with just one goal and two assists in eight outings. But all three of those points have come in the last five games. Michkov is going to be fine. Go chat with his manager to see if they're getting frustrated with his slow start. You don't have to look too far online to see threads where managers ask if they should drop him.

Ilya Sorokin - Solid outing ends with single point Sorokin made 23 saves in a 4-3 shootout loss to Philadelphia on Saturday.
Impact Sorokin had won two straight games, and he's now 2-3-1 with a 3.70 GAA and .875 save percentage on the season. It's interesting that he has allowed so many goals -- he gave up four goals in each of his first four games and three in his last two. Sorokin is one of the league's most talented netminders, but his supporting cast make statistical excellence a tough call.

Anthony Duclair - Gets goal in shootout loss Duclair scored a goal Saturday in a 4-3 shootout loss to Philadelphia.
Impact He tapped in a pass through the slot to push the Isles up 2-0 early in the second period. Duclair is a one-time 31-goal scorer, but that was way back in 2021-22. And at 30, he's on his ninth team in 12 seasons. A change of scenery is one thing; a guy who can't stick with a team is another. Duclair has two goals and one assist in eight games, but don't overestimate his fantasy value.
