Max Willman - Signed then waived by Devils Willman signed a one-year, two-way contract with New Jersey and was subsequently put on waivers Saturday.

Impact Willman had been attending the Devils' training camp on a professional tryout agreement. New Jersey plans to reassign him to AHL Utica if he clears waivers. Willman had no points in nine games with Philadelphia and 23 points in 54 appearances with AHL Lehigh Valley last season.

Tyce Thompson - Hits waivers Thompson was placed on waivers Saturday for the purpose of reassignment to the AHL, Chris Johnston of TSN reports.

Impact If he clears waivers, Thompson is poised to begin the 2023-24 campaign with AHL Utica again after tallying seven goals and 26 points in the AHL last season. The 24-year-old Thompson has played in 11 NHL games with the Devils over the previous three seasons, with his lone point (an assist) coming in 2020.

Justin Dowling - Lands on waivers The Devils put Dowling on waivers Saturday, Chris Johnston of TSN reports.

Impact Dowling has spent the last two seasons in the Canucks' system, playing 22 NHL games in 2021-22, scoring twice and adding a pair of assists. He had 11 goals and 46 points in 56 contests with AHL Abbotsford last season. Look for Dowling to be sent to AHL Utica, if he passes through waivers.

Shane Bowers - Lands on waivers Bowers was put on waivers Saturday for the purpose of assignment to AHL Utica.

Impact Bowers compiled eight goals and 21 points over 57 AHL games between Colorado and Providence last season. If he clears, the 24-year-old forward could spend most of the 2023-24 campaign in the minors again.
