Brendan Lemieux - Waived Wednesday Lemieux (undisclosed) was waived by Carolina on Wednesday, per James Mirtle of The Athletic.
Impact Lemieux would need to be ready to play in order to be placed on waivers, so he's presumably over his undisclosed injury. He missed the Hurricanes' opening two contests of 2024-25 because he was hurt. The 28-year-old forward had three goals, five points, 64 PIM and 71 hits in 32 regular-season outings with Carolina in 2023-24, but if he clears waivers, then Lemieux will probably head to the minors.
