Jake Oettinger - Closing in on return Oettinger's (lower body) timetable has been upgraded from "week-to-week" to "day-to-day," coach Peter DeBoer told Saad Yousuf of The Athletic on Wednesday.
Impact Oettinger participated in Wednesday's optional skate. The 25-year-old goaltender hasn't played since Dec. 15, but it sounds like it won't be long before he makes his return. When Oettinger is available, Scott Wedgewood will slide back into the No. 2 role while Matt Murray will return to AHL Texas.

Evgenii Dadonov - Logs assist Tuesday Dadonov managed an assist and three shots on goal in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Canadiens.
Impact Dadonov continues to pepper points across his ledger -- he's gotten on the scoresheet in six of the last nine games. The winger is up to eight goals, eight helpers, 49 shots on net and a minus-8 rating through 34 outings. Dadonov remains in a third-line role, but his more consistent play of late has reduced the threat of him being a healthy scratch again any time soon.

Impact Duchene set up Jason Robertson's goal in the third period. This was Duchene's third helper over the last two games as he bounces back from a stretch of three contests without a point. The center is up to 32 points, 80 shots on net, 24 blocked shots and a plus-13 rating through 35 outings overall in a second-line role.
