Dealt to Buffalo Kesselring and Josh Doan were traded to the Sabres from the Mammoth on Wednesday in exchange for JJ Peterka, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.

Impact Kesselring provides a boost to the right side of the Sabres' defense, though it came at a cost of a talented scoring winger. This is not a great trade for Kesselring's fantasy upside, as he's joining a team that already has Rasmus Dahlin and Owen Power established as power-play options. Bowen Byram is also on the roster, but he has been included in trade rumors as well. Kesselring had 29 points, 150 shots on net, 87 hits, 67 blocked shots and 89 PIM over 82 games with Utah last season, and he projects as a top-four defenseman with moderate scoring potential.

Grabs two points Monday Kesselring scored a goal, registered an assist and fired four shots on net in Monday's 7-3 victory over Nashville.

Impact Kesselring tallied the opening goal for Utah just over 12 minutes into the game before assisting Clayton Keller's first goal in the third period. Overall, the 25-year-old Kesselring is up to seven goals, 29 points and 148 shots on net across 81 appearances this season. The blueliner has steadily improved in all categories since his first full season. He should maintain top-four minutes with Utah next season and have solid fantasy value in deeper leagues if his offensive capabilities continue to develop.

Garners helper Kesselring logged an assist and two PIM in Tuesday's 7-1 win over the Kraken.

Impact Kesselring snapped a seven-game point drought with the helper. The 25-year-old defenseman has struggled to find steady offense since Utah's blue line got healthy, though Kesselring was able to pick up a little more ice time since John Marino (face) was out of the lineup. Kesselring has 27 points, 138 shots on net, 86 hits, 63 blocked shots, 85 PIM and a plus-4 rating across 78 appearances this season.

Nabs assist Saturday Kesselring produced an assist and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 6-4 win over the Lightning.

Impact Kesselring snapped a seven-game point drought with the primary helper on Logan Cooley's first-period tally. It's no surprise Kesselring's offense has dipped late in the season -- he's averaging just 14:50 of ice time per game since the start of February, compared to 19:05 per game prior to that point when Utah had more injuries on the blue line. He's still put together a career year with 26 points, a plus-9 rating, 78 hits, 59 blocked shots, 74 PIM and 130 shots on net through 70 appearances.

Two helpers in Detroit Kesselring picked up two assists in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Red Wings.

Impact The 25-year-old blueliner had a hand in tallies by Dylan Guenther in the first period and on Kevin Stenlund's game-winner in the third. It was Kesselring's first multi-point performance since Dec. 7, and his time on the second power-play unit has also dried up since Sean Durzi returned to the lineup. Kesselring is still maintaining a decent pace of production however, managing one goal and six points over 11 games since the beginning of February.

Bags helper in win Kesselring logged an assist and three hits in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Blackhawks.

Impact Kesselring has three helpers over his last six outings. The 25-year-old defenseman continues to see a smaller role now that Utah's blue line is at full health, but the important part is that he's sticking in the lineup over Nick DeSimone. For the season, Kesselring is up to 23 points, 109 shots on net, 69 hits, 51 blocked shots, 65 PIM and a plus-7 rating through 59 appearances. Even with reduced minutes, he may do enough in an all-around capacity to justify a roster spot in deep fantasy formats.

Produces assist Sunday Kesselring notched an assist and went plus-2 in Sunday's 5-4 shootout win over the Capitals.

Impact Kesselring has three points over his last five contests. His ice time is starting to drop a bit -- he's been under the 18-minute mark in four of five games in February, in part due to Utah having both Mikhail Sergachev and John Marino healthy. Kesselring is up to a career-high 22 points with 105 shots on net, 64 hits, 49 blocked shots and a plus-8 rating through 56 appearances. Even in a bottom-four role, he can be moderately productive in non-scoring areas, making him an option for fantasy managers in need of a little grit in deep formats.

Nets lone goal in loss Kesselring scored a goal on two shots and added two hits in Sunday's 2-1 loss to the Blues.

Impact Kesselring tied the game at 1-1 in the third period, but Jordan Kyrou scored minutes later to win it for the Blues. The goal was Kesselring's fifth point over his last 11 outings. The defenseman continues to handle a top-four role and looks steady doing so. He's at a career-high six goals with 99 shots on net, 59 hits, 46 blocked shots, 58 PIM and a plus-7 rating through 52 appearances this season.

Registers power-play helper Kesselring managed a power-play assist and went minus-2 in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Jets.

Impact Kesselring has four points, including two on the power play, over his last seven contests. This was also the first time he's taken a minus rating in that span. The 25-year-old blueliner continues to see top-four minutes and has also played on the top power-play unit during Mikhail Sergachev's (upper body) absence. Kesselring has 19 points (three on the power play), 91 shots on net, 55 hits, 41 blocked shots, 56 PIM and a plus-11 rating through 48 appearances.

Lights lamp on power play Kesselring scored a power-play goal on six shots and blocked two shots in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Blues.

Impact The goal was Kesselring's first since Dec. 7, and he had just three helpers over the 18 games in between. The 25-year-old saw a larger role Saturday, logging 21:11 of ice time because Mikhail Sergachev (upper body) was out of the lineup. Kesselring has thrived this season with five goals, 13 assists, two power-play points, 85 shots on net, 54 hits, 38 blocked shots, 42 PIM and a plus-10 rating through 45 appearances. His production can help in deeper fantasy formats, and he may be an option in standard formats for as long as Sergachev is sidelined.
