Impact Rempe's promotion comes as Blake Wheeler (leg) suffered a seemingly serious injury against Montreal on Thursday. Even with his elevation to the main roster, the 21-year-old Rempe is far from a lock for the lineup. It figures to be a competition between Rempe, Alex Belzile and Adam Edstrom for a pair of fourth-line roster spots.

Impact Rempe sat as a healthy scratch Monday against the Flames after receiving his first career promotion from the minors Saturday. The 2020 sixth-round pick has picked up eight goals and 12 points through 43 AHL appearances this year.
