Pots first goal of season Kunin scored a goal on two shots and blocked three shots in Monday's 8-5 win over the Canucks.

Impact Kunin was a healthy scratch for five of six games between Oct. 25 and Nov. 8, but he's since returned to the lineup for four straight contests. The Panthers have more injuries piling up among their depth forwards, which should help Kunin regain consistent playing time. The 27-year-old has two points, nine shots on net, 22 hits, 19 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating over 14 appearances.

Snags assist in win Kunin recorded an assist, two blocked shots and two PIM in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Flyers.

Impact Kunin wasn't expected to play much after singing a one-year contract with the Panthers in late August. However, Aleksander Barkov's (knee) absence for the full regular season has shifted the center depth for Florida, allowing Kunin to begin the year as a fourth-liner over Cole Schwindt and Noah Gregor. Kunin has racked up three shots on net, one hit, two blocks, four PIM and a plus-2 rating over his first two games of the year. He had 31 points over 63 outings in 2019-20 but has topped the 20-point mark just once in the five years since then, so he has almost no scoring upside.

Inks one-year deal Kunin signed a one-year contract with Florida on Friday.

Impact Kunin contributed 11 goals, 18 points, 112 shots on net, 77 blocked shots and 187 hits across 75 regular-season appearances between San Jose and Columbus in 2024-25. He will compete for a depth role with the Panthers during training camp, but he may not play regularly in the 2025-26 campaign.

Impact Kunin's point drought is at 25 games, dating back to his time with the Sharks before he was dealt to the Blue Jackets at the trade deadline. Impact Kunin has 11 goals, 18 points, 46 PIM, 163 hits and 64 blocks in 63 outings in 2024-25. Although he doesn't do a ton offensively, his physicality should be of value to the Blue Jackets as they look to make the playoffs for the first time since 2020. Kunin will likely serve in the middle six.

Impact It seems Kunin's three-year stint with the Sharks is coming to an end, with the expectation that he will be moved prior to Friday's trade deadline. The 27-year-old center needs just two more points to get back to the 20-point threshold after missing that mark in each of the previous two campaigns. Depending where he lands, Kunin could be shifted to the wing and slot into a middle-six role.

He's also been on the second power-play unit recently. Kunin is up to 17 points -- one off his total from last season -- while adding 60 shots on net, 109 hits, 47 blocked shots and 33 PIM over 42 appearances this season. He's on pace for a career year, with his previous personal best being 15 goals and 31 points in 2019-20 with the Wild.
