Impact Bahl, who was scheduled to be a restricted free agent, has locked in a long-term extension with the Flames after posting a career season in his first year with the squad to the tune of three goals and 17 assists in 73 games while averaging over 20 minutes of ice time per game last year. The 25-year-old is, and will now remain, an important piece of the Calgary top-four defensemen.
