On injured reserve
Huberdeau (hip) was put on injured reserve Saturday, per the NHL media site.
Impact
Huberdeau was already ruled out for the rest of the 2025-26 campaign after undergoing hip surgery, so the decision to put him on IR isn't surprising. He'll conclude the year with 10 goals and 25 points in 50 regular-season appearances. The 32-year-old's eight-year, $84 million contract runs through 2030-31, and he has a no-movement clause, so odds are he'll be back with Calgary next season.

Set for hip surgery
Huberdeau will undergo hip surgery, ending his 2025-26 campaign, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports Thursday.
Impact
Huberdeau has reportedly been playing through this issue all season and has made the decision to shut it down with Calgary effectively out of playoff contention. The 32-year-old winger will turn his focus to getting ready for the 2026-27 campaign and will end this year having generated 10 goals and 15 helpers in 50 games, the lowest point total of his career.

Nets power-play goal
Huberdeau scored a power-play goal on three shots and added two hits in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Oilers.
Impact
Huberdeau opened the scoring at 3:12 of the first period. It's been another tough season for Huberdeau, but he's shown a little positivity lately with two goals and two assists over his last five outings. The 32-year-old winger is up to 10 goals, 25 points (seven on the power play), 83 shots on net and a minus-9 rating through 50 appearances this season.

Tallies in overtime loss
Huberdeau scored a goal on five shots in Sunday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Ducks.
Impact
Huberdeau snapped a nine-game point drought with the goal. He missed Wednesday's contest versus the Penguins due to a lower-body injury, and he's filled a middle-six role over the last two games since his return. The veteran winger has struggled to the tune of nine goals, 22 points, 76 shots on net, 41 PIM and a minus-8 rating over 46 appearances this season.

Won't play Wednesday
Huberdeau (undisclosed) is set to miss Wednesday's game versus the Penguins, Derek Wills of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
Impact
A reason for Huberdeau's absence was not immediately available. The 32-year-old hasn't missed time since he was out for the first five games of the season due an undisclosed injury. His injury comes with him in the midst of an eight-game point drought, which he won't be able to snap until he's healthy again.
