Released from PTO on Thursday The Hurricanes released Halbgewachs from his professional tryout Thursday, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.

Impact Halbgewachs played last season in the SHL. He had 10 goals and 20 points in 52 games with Vaxjo HC. Halbgewachs played three games with San Jose in 2021-22, picking up a solitary assist.

Agrees to professional tryout Halbgewachs will attend training camp with Carolina on a professional tryout agreement.

Impact Halbgewachs, who agreed to terms with the Hurricanes on Sept. 11, registered 10 goals and 10 assists in 52 SHL games last season. The 26-year-old forward had one assist in three outings for San Jose during the 2021-22 campaign. Halbgewachs will compete for a depth spot with Carolina during training camp.
