Contract terminated Cotton will have his contract with the Hurricanes terminated after clearing waivers Wednesday, Sportsnet's Chris Johnston reports.

Impact Cotton has spent most of the 2020-21 campaign in the ECHL after signing a one-year, entry-level contract with the Hurricanes in March of 2020. He may have to head overseas in order to continue his professional playing career.

Hits waivers Cotton was waived by Carolina on Tuesday, Sportsnet's Chris Johnston reports.

Impact Cotton has spent the majority of the season with the Fort Wayne Komets of the ECHL, picking up six points in 17 games. The 26-year-old forward shouldn't be expected to make an impact at the NHL level anytime soon.
