Should be available Wednesday Head coach Craig Berube said Monday that McCabe (upper body) should be available for Wednesday's game against Columbus, David Alter of The Hockey News reports.
Impact McCabe sustained an upper-body injury during Saturday's game against the Canadiens, but the issue shouldn't force him to miss any additional time. He's appeared in each of the Maple Leafs' first 22 games of the season, recording three goals, seven assists, 53 blocked shots, 30 hits and 21 PIM while averaging 21:16 of ice time.

Impact McCabe tallied an unassisted goal just outside the five-minute mark of the first period. Outside of the goal, he stuffed the stat sheet with two or more tallies in four major stat categories (shots, blocks, penalty minutes, hits). With Tuesday's performance, the 32-year-old defenseman is up to three goals, 10 points, 49 blocks and 26 hits through 20 games this season. In the absence of Chris Tanev (upper-body) and Brandon Carlo (lower-body), McCabe has seen a slight bump up in playing time, allowing him to compile complementary stats. Even when the two return to the lineup, McCabe has strong category coverage in fantasy and is a solid depth option on the blue line.

Impact The veteran blueliner has remarkably put together a four-game point streak, and over the last six contests he's erupted for a goal and six points despite not having a spot on either of Toronto's usual power-play units.
