Set to face Islanders again Markstrom will patrol the road blue paint against the Islanders on Tuesday, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.

Impact Markstrom and Jake Allen have split the crease evenly lately, with both netminders getting six starts in the last 12 games. That workload share has seemingly benefited Markstrom, as he's registered a .914 save percentage and a 2.39 GAA but has a 2-3-0 record during that span, a result of the Devils not providing him with much offensive support in those losses. The Swedish netminder is 8-7-3 against the Islanders across 18 career appearances, including two losses this season (0-1-1).

Sharp in win No. 10 Markstrom made 30 saves in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Mammoth.

Impact The veteran netminder took a shutout into the third period before Michael Carcone snapped a one-timer past him with less than eight minutes left. Markstrom hasn't allowed more than three goals in an outing since Nov. 29, and on the season he's 10-9-1 with a 3.20 GAA and .888 save percentage.

Impact Markstrom and Jake Allen have been sharing the net since Dec. 11 and Saturday is Markstrom's turn to start. He is 9-9-1 with a 3.32 GAA and an .884 save percentage across 20 appearances this season. The Mammoth are 17th in NHL scoring this season, generating 3.07 goals per game.

Left alone by his teammates Markstrom made 26 saves in a 4-0 loss to Toronto on Tuesday. He allowed three goals.

Impact It was a tough night for Markstrom. The first goal came on the power play and the second came just one second after the man advantage expired. The third goal came on a deflection off a Devils' defender. Markstrom's mates failed to show up, either offensively or physically, and he was left alone to weather the Leafs' charge. He has scuffled this season on the whole, but he has looked sharper of late. Markstrom had allowed just five goals on 73 shots (.932) over his last three starts (1-2-0) and could be starting to change his luck.

Facing Maple Leafs Markstrom will guard the road goal against Toronto on Tuesday, according to Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site.

Impact Markstrom is coming off a 23-save effort in last Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Islanders. He has a 9-8-1 record with a 3.33 GAA and an .883 save percentage through 19 appearances this season. Toronto ranks eighth in the league with 3.26 goals per game this campaign, but integral offensive forwards William Nylander (lower body) and Auston Matthews (lower body) won't be in the lineup.

Impact Markstrom tended a solid performance before he allowed the game-winning goal with 75 seconds remaining in the contest. With the loss, the 35-year-old goalie now has a 9-8-1 record with a 3.33 GAA and an .883 save percentage across 19 appearances this season. While the 2025-26 campaign has been a down year overall for Markstrom, he has played better as of late with a 2-2-0 record, a 2.71 GAA and a .907 save percentage over his last five appearances. It would be an enormous task to bring his season stats back to an elite level, but if he can at least maintain his recent quality of performances, he should remain in the mix to be rostered in standard fantasy leagues. His next opportunity to take the ice is Saturday against the Capitals.
