Struggling in AHL Brindley has only one goal in his last nine games with AHL Cleveland.

Impact Brindley starred at the University of Michigan, tallying 25 goals and adding 28 assists in 40 games in 2023-24, before inking a three-year entry-level contract. Brindley played one game at the NHL level after signing last season, playing 12:20 in the final game of the regular-season, but failed to hit the scoresheet. Brindley has spent the 2024-25 campaign with AHL Cleveland, scoring five times while adding nine helpers in 28 games, missing the start of the year with a broken finger suffered during a preseason game against St. Louis.

Impact Brindley was a long shot to make the roster coming out of training camp in the first place but his broken finger certainly didn't improve his chances. The 20-year-old center has played in just one NHL game in his career thus far. Unless he puts up ridiculous numbers in the minors, Brindley figures to spend the bulk of the upcoming campaign with the Monsters.

Suffers broken finger Brindley was designated for injured reserve Thursday after suffering a broken finger versus St. Louis on Tuesday.

Impact Brindley is expected to miss 4-6 weeks due to his broken finger, which would set him up for a mid-November return to action. Given his lack of NHL experience and the extended stint on the shelf, the 19-year-old natural center may have to settle for starting the 2024-25 campaign in the minors with AHL Cleveland. Without Brindley in the mix, Mikael Pyyhtia could have a shot at making the Opening Night roster.
