Zach Hyman - Tallies lone goal in loss
Hyman scored a goal on four shots and added two PIM in Thursday's 6-1 loss to the Kraken.
Impact
Hyman continues to shine amid the Oilers' brutal stretch of injuries. He has five goals and two assists over his last five contests since returning from a one-game absence of his own. The 32-year-old is up to 27 goals, 44 points, 196 shots on net, 51 hits, 30 PIM and a plus-15 rating over 66 appearances as a regular in the top six.

Olivier Rodrigue - Makes NHL debut in relief
Rodrigue allowed a goal on eight shots in relief of Calvin Pickard in Thursday's 6-1 loss to the Kraken.
Impact
Rodrigue was brought in for mop-up duty after the Kraken scored five times in the second period to chase Pickard. This was Rodrigue's NHL debut. He'll likely be with the big club as long as Stuart Skinner (head) is unavailable. The 24-year-old Rodrigue has a 3.05 GAA and an .899 save percentage with AHL Bakersfield this season, so fantasy managers shouldn't expect much of his should he draw into any additional games during this call-up.

Calvin Pickard - Unravels in second period
Pickard gave up five goals on 29 shots in Thursday's 6-1 loss to the Kraken.
Impact
Pickard kept the game scoreless through one period, but the Kraken hung five on the board against him in the second. He gave way for the final frame, with Olivier Rodrigue checking in for his NHL debut in the blowout loss. Pickard will need to be a lot better going forward, as it's unclear how much time Stuart Skinner (head) might miss following his exit from Wednesday's contest versus the Stars. Pickard is now 17-8-1 with a 2.75 GAA and an .898 save percentage over 29 appearances this season. The Oilers host the Flames on Saturday.

Mattias Ekholm - Out Thursday
Ekholm (undisclosed) is expected to miss Thursday's clash against Seattle, per Paige Martin of Oilers TV.
Impact
Ekholm has nine goals, 33 points, 30 PIM, 42 hits and 95 blocks in 64 outings with the Oilers in 2024-25. Edmonton is expected to dress 11 forwards and seven defensemen, with Ty Emberson and John Klingberg (undisclosed) drawing into the lineup. Ekholm's absence was described as maintenance, which suggests the issue might be minor, so perhaps he'll be back Saturday versus Calgary.

John Klingberg - Returning to action
Klingberg (undisclosed) will return to the lineup versus the Kraken on Thursday, Paige Martin of Oilers TV reports.
Impact
Klingberg didn't appear to be close to a return as of Wednesday, but he has made enough progress to end a 10-game absence. Mattias Ekholm (undisclosed) will be out of action Thursday, so Klingberg should slot back into a top-four role, though the Oilers will dress seven defensemen for the contest.
