Ty Emberson - Role shrinking
Emberson was scratched for a fourth straight game in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Stars.
Impact
Mattias Ekholm's six-game absence due to an undisclosed injury in the middle of March allowed Emberson to stay in the lineup for a while after the Oilers acquired Jake Walman. With the team's blue line now at full health aside from John Klingberg (undisclosed), Emberson appears to be the odd man out most of the time. The 24-year-old blueliner went without a point over 11 appearances prior to his trip to the press box, which likely didn't help his cause. For the season, he has 10 assists, 56 shots on net, 102 hits, 86 blocked shots and a minus-5 rating over 65 outings.

Jake Walman - Delivers power-play helper
Walman logged a power-play assist, five shots on goal and two PIM in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Stars.
Impact
Walman had a shot attempt ricochet off the boards and straight to Corey Perry, who buried it for the Oilers' first goal. This was Walman's third game in a row with a helper as he continues to settle into a top-four role with his new team. He's at 37 points (eight on the power play), 144 shots on net, 55 hits, 135 blocked shots, 40 PIM and a plus-4 rating over 59 outings between the Oilers and the Sharks.

Mattias Ekholm - Garners assist in loss
Ekholm logged an assist, three shots on goal and a minus-2 rating in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Stars.
Impact
Ekholm has a goal and five assists over four contests since he returned from missing six games due to an undisclosed injury. The 34-year-old defenseman continues to handle a heavy workload in the top four as a shutdown blueliner. He's still chipped in strong offense with 33 points, 143 shots on net and a plus-11 rating to go with 95 blocked shots, 42 hits and 30 PIM across 64 appearances.

Evan Bouchard - Adds pair of assists in loss
Bouchard recorded two assists, four shots on goal and two PIM in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Stars.
Impact
Bouchard helped out on Adam Henrique's power-play tally and Zach Hyman's goal at even strength in a third-period comeback effort that fell one goal short. This was Bouchard's second multi-point effort in March, and he has four goals and eight assists over 12 outings this month. He's up to 57 points (23 on the power play), 208 shots on net, 99 blocked shots and a plus-15 rating through 71 contests overall.

Zach Hyman - Scores late in loss
Hyman scored a goal on six shots in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Stars.
Impact
Hyman's six shots led the Oilers, and he was able to cash in late in the third period. It wasn't enough, as they weren't able to find an equalizing goal. The 32-year-old winger has four goals and two assists over his last four outings. For the season, he has 26 goals, 43 points, 192 shots on net, 51 hits, 28 PIM and a plus-15 rating over 65 appearances.

Corey Perry - Produces two power-play points
Perry scored a goal and added an assist, both on the power play, in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Stars.
Impact
Perry set the Oilers on the comeback trail with a goal 9:30 into the third period. He also set up an Adam Henrique tally a few minutes later, but the rally ultimately fell short. Perry had not recorded a multi-point effort since Feb. 7 versus the Avalanche, and his helper Wednesday was his first since Jan. 23 against the Canucks. The 39-year-old winger is at 16 goals, 25 points, 82 shots on net, 40 PIM and a plus-6 rating through 70 appearances, mainly in a bottom-six role.

Adam Henrique - Two power-play points in loss
Henrique scored a goal on five shots, added an assist and went minus-2 in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Stars.
Impact
Both of Henrique's points came on the power play in the third period as part of the Oilers' comeback attempt. The 35-year-old is filling a second-line role in the absences of Leon Draisaitl (undisclosed) and Connor McDavid (lower body). Henrique has taken advantage of the larger role with three points, all on the power play, over the last two games. He's at 10 goals, 20 points, 91 shots on net, 68 blocked shots, 48 hits and a plus-2 rating over 70 appearances this season.

ROTOWIRE
Calvin Pickard - Fills in for injured Stuart Skinner
Pickard stopped all three shots he faced in relief of Stuart Skinner (head) in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Stars.
Impact
Skinner left in the third period after a collision with Mikko Rantanen. Pickard did his part to give the Oilers a chance at an improbable comeback, which fell one goal short of forcing overtime. Skinner won't travel to Seattle for Thursday's game, Tony Brar of Oilers TV reports, so expect Pickard to get the starting nod for that game, while Collin Delia or Olivier Rodrigue are due to be called up to fill the backup role. Pickard would likely handle the bulk of the goaltending duties as long as Skinner is out. Through 28 appearances this season, Pickard is 17-7-1 with a 2.61 GAA and a .901 save percentage.

Stuart Skinner - Not expected to travel
Skinner (head) won't travel with the Oilers for their road game Thursday in Seattle, Tony Brar of Oilers TV reports.
Impact
Skinner got clipped in the head by Mikko Rantanen in the third period of Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Stars. While he was able to avoid a previous injury last Thursday, it doesn't look like Skinner will be so lucky this time around. Look for Calvin Pickard to start Thursday in Seattle, while Collin Delia or Olivier Rodrigue would be candidates for an emergency call-up to fill the backup role during Skinner's absence. Skinner allowed four goals on 21 shots and took the loss in Wednesday's contest.
