Justin Hryckowian - Cashes in on power play Hryckowian scored a power-play goal on three shots and blocked two shots in Saturday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Panthers.

Impact The goal was Hryckowian's first in 16 NHL appearances. The 24-year-old even drew the high-sticking double-minor that allowed him to score his first career goal. He's added nine shots on net, 17 hits, four blocked shots, nine PIM and a minus-4 rating over 11 outings this season. Hryckowian is likely to remain in a bottom-six role until the Stars get some forwards back from injuries, namely Roope Hintz (undisclosed), Matt Duchene (upper body) and Jamie Benn (upper body).

Impact Johnston had been held off the scoresheet in the previous two games, though the Stars scored just twice in that span. The 22-year-old center got a turn on the top line, officially, amid the team's lineup shuffle, and it worked to spark the offense. Regardless of where he's listed, Johnston is one of the Stars' most important all-situations forwards. He's produced seven goals, four assists, 40 shots on net, 13 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating over 12 appearances, putting him on track to match or surpass last year's 71-point output from 82 regular-season contests.

Sam Bennett - Lights lamp Saturday Bennett scored a goal on three shots in Saturday's 4-3 shootout win over the Stars.

Impact Bennett has not yet found a rhythm on offense this season, going three games between each point. He has two goals, one assist, 25 shots on net, 23 hits, 10 PIM and a minus-8 rating through 12 outings. He was on the third line Saturday, though his 15:46 of ice time suggests he'll continue to functionally see top-six minutes regardless of his placement in the lineup. He's off to a positive start in 2025-26 as well with six goals, including one in each of the last four contests. He's added an assist, 36 shots on net, 14 hits, 10 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating over 12 appearances.
