Getting fresh start Ingram was acquired by Edmonton from Utah on Wednesday in exchange for future considerations, Jason Gregor of Sports 1440 Edmonton reports.

Impact Ingram had a 9-8-4 record, 3.27 GAA and an .882 save percentage across 22 appearances with Utah in 2024-25. While those numbers aren't great, he had a solid .907 save percentage across 77 outings with Arizona during the 2022-23 and 2023-24 regular seasons. Ingram was in the NHL/NHLPA Player Assistance Program before being cleared to return to on-ice activities in August. He's already cleared waivers, and Edmonton plans to have him start in AHL Bakersfield. However, it wouldn't be surprising to see him earn an opportunity with the Oilers as the season progresses.

Impact After entering the Player Assistance Program last year, Ingram was cleared to resume playing but didn't report to Utah's training camp as the team worked to get him a fresh start. It seems the club wasn't able to find a trade partner, instead designating Ingram for waivers. If he goes unclaimed, look for the 28-year-old Canadian to start the year in the minors in the hope of revitalizing his career.

Impact Ingram missed the end of the 2024-25 campaign while tending to a personal matter, but he was cleared to return to on-ice activities in mid-August. However, he's seeking out a new home ahead of the 2025-26 season. Both sides are on the same page about parting ways, as Ingram and the Mammoth are working to seek out a new team. If the two sides are unable to find a new destination for Ingram, the Mammoth intend to eventually place him on waivers. Vitek Vanecek is slated to serve as Karel Vejmelka's backup once the regular season gets underway.
