Tyler Kleven and Tim Stutzle both scored in the first period, and the Ottawa Senators beat Columbus 4-1 on Thursday night

Elvis Merzlikins - Questionable to return Merzlikins (illness) is questionable to return to Tuesday's game versus the Senators.

Impact Merzlikins exited the game after the first period. He allowed two goals on seven shots before he was replaced by Jet Greaves. Merzlikins likely won't be back in the contest unless Greaves gets injured, and the former should be considered day-to-day ahead of Thursday's game versus the Stars.

Impact Where Lundestrom fits into the lineup remains to be seen, but he's far from a lock to play on a nightly basis even with his injury concerns behind him. In 35 appearances this year, the 26-year-old Swede has generated just one goal, four assists and 30 shots. As such, Lundestrom's return is unlikely to impact the majority of fantasy managers.

Elvis Merzlikins - Looking for third straight win Merzlikins is drawing the home start Tuesday against the Senators, per Julian McKenzie of The Athletic.

Impact Merzlikins will be making his third straight start Tuesday, as he's getting more work with new head coach Rick Bowness. The 31-year-old Merzlikins has won back-to-back starts while turning aside a combined 59 of 63 shots (.937 save percentage) in victories over the Canucks and Penguins. The Senators have lost back-to-back games and six of their last eight (2-4-2), but they had success against Merzlikins earlier in the season, chasing him for three goals on five shots in Ottawa's 6-3 win over Columbus on Dec. 11.

Owen Sillinger - Nets both goals in AHL loss Sillinger scored twice in AHL Cleveland's 6-2 loss to Providence on Sunday.

Impact Sillinger earned his first multi-goal game of the season, which was just his second multi-point effort. The 28-year-old has struggled a bit this year with five goals and 16 points over 33 appearances for the Monsters. He peaked at 40 points in 69 regular-season contests in 2023-24, but Sillinger would need to make a massive improvement to reach that level in 2025-26.

Egor Zamula - First point with new team Zamula logged an assist in Saturday's 4-3 shootout win over the Penguins.

Impact Zamula was traded from the Flyers to the Penguins in late December but refused to report to Pittsburgh's AHL team. He was unconditionally waived and then signed with the Blue Jackets, where he's stepped into a bottom-four role right away. The helper was his first point in five games with Columbus, matching his total from 13 contests with the Flyers. He's at two assists, 11 shots on net, 23 blocked shots and a plus-5 rating over 18 appearances this season. Zamula will look to keep Jake Christiansen stuck in the press box moving forward.

Impact This was Gudbranson's second game back from a long-term hip injury. The defenseman has a helper, five shots on net, six PIM, 10 hits and three blocked shots over six appearances this season. Injuries have limited him to just 22 games since the start of 2024-25, but if he can stay healthy, he'll be a defensive stalwart in the bottom four for the remainder of the campaign.

Heinen is playing in a fourth-line role, so he'll have limited fantasy appeal. He's produced two goals, two assists, 22 shots on net, 29 hits, 15 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating over 21 appearances between Columbus and Pittsburgh this season.

Impact Marchenko has two goals and four assists during his four-game point streak. Looking back farther, he's tallied eight times and added seven assists over his last 13 outings. Marchenko remains productive in a top-line role and is looking like the Blue Jackets' top forward. The 25-year-old winger is at 18 goals, 41 points, 139 shots on net, 35 hits, 29 blocked shots, 20 PIM and a plus-4 rating over 44 appearances.

Zach Aston-Reese - Pots first goal of season Aston-Reese scored his first goal of the season in Saturday's 4-3 shootout win over the Penguins.

Impact The veteran grinder opened the scoring early in the first period, taking advantage of a lucky bounce to slide home the puck from the slot after Zach Werenski's point shot was blocked. Aston-Reese had been a healthy scratch the prior four games, but with new coach Rick Bowness wanting to take a full look at his roster, he could get some consistent run on the fourth line. On the season, Aston-Reese has five points, 68 hits, 16 blocked shots, 12 PIM and a plus-1 rating in 25 games.

Elvis Merzlikins - Hangs on for shootout win Merzlikins stopped 29 shots in regulation and overtime and three of four shootout attempts in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Penguins.

Impact The only Pittsburgh player to get a puck past Merzlikins in the shootout was former Columbus teammate Yegor Chinakhov. The 31-year-old netminder was making consecutive starts for the first time since early December, and new coach Rick Bowness appears willing to give him a chance to move back into a timeshare with Jet Greaves. Merzlikins will need to display more consistency, however -- over his last eight outings, he's stumbled to a 4.02 GAA and .871 save percentage.
