Damon Severson - Set to return against Vancouver Severson (illness) is available for Thursday's game against the Canucks, Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site reports.

Impact Severson missed Tuesday's game against Calgary due to an illness, but he'll be back in action following a minimal absence. Across his last 11 appearances, he's recorded a goal, seven assists, 16 blocked shots, 10 PIM and four hits while averaging 20:55 of ice time.

Elvis Merzlikins - Gets starting nod Thursday Merzlikins will defend the home cage versus Vancouver on Thursday, Aaron Portzline of The Athletic reports.

Impact Merzlikins will make a rare start as he has played only once since Dec. 22, a span of 11 games, as Jet Greaves has been the undisputed No. 1 goaltender in Columbus of late. Merzlikins is 6-7-1 this season with a 4.03 GAA and an .877 save percentage across 15 appearances. The Canucks are generating 2.63 goals per game, 27th in the NHL this season.

Erik Gudbranson - Coming off IR Gudbranson (hip) will be activated off injured reserve ahead of Thursday's clash with Vancouver, Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers reports.

Impact Gudbranson looks poised to play for the first time since Oct. 25 versus the Penguins. Even with his activation, the veteran blueliner is far from a lock to play on a nightly basis and could periodically serve as a healthy scratch. In order to clear a roster spot for Gudbranson, Dysin Mayo will likely be shipped back to the minors.

Impact Fabbro went a month between points, posting a minus-7 rating, 20 hits, 17 blocked shots and 10 shots on net during a 13-game drought. The 27-year-old defenseman saw an increased role for the second contest in a row as he helps the Blue Jackets deal with the absences of Denton Mateychuk (upper body) and Damon Severson (illness). Fabbro has just seven points with 46 shots on net, 41 hits, 78 blocks and a minus-16 rating across 46 appearances this season.

Impact His goal stood as the winner. Jenner has eight goals and 15 assists in 32 games this season. And eight of those (three goals, five assists) in his last nine contests. Jenner is hurt far too often, but when healthy, he brings a real edge to the ice, and he can obviously score. He put up two hits Tuesday and has 73 hits in 32 games this season.

Zach Werenski - Twenty points in last 12 games Werenski had a goal and two assists in a 5-3 win over the Flames on Tuesday.

Impact His power-play goal early in the third put his squad up 3-2. Werenski has been gold this season. He has put up points in 11 of his last 12 games (eight goals, 12 assists), and he leads the Blue Jackets in scoring by a wide margin. He leads the team in goals (17), assists (13) and points (50). And those points put him behind Cale Makar on the NHL's list of scorers from the blue line . Oh yah -- Werenski has also been a complete beast at home -- his points Tuesday extended his personal home point streak to 15 games and 29 points; (11 goals, 18 assists).

Charlie Coyle - Big three-point effort carries win Coyle had two goals and an assist in a 5-3 win over the Flames on Tuesday.

Impact The veteran pivot had a whopping seven shots Tuesday. Coyle has nine goals, 20 assists and 71 shots in 46 games this season. His best production came under very structured systems, and the arrival of Rick Bowness as head coach will instantly inject both structure and pace to the Blue Jackets. Coyle could thrive in that kind of system.

Jet Greaves - Second straight win Greaves made 29 saves in a 5-3 win over Calgary on Tuesday.

Impact The game was tied until the Jackets seized the lead with 1:34 left in the third period. Greaves has won two straight games, and he's 14-12-6 with a 2.72 GAA and .908 save percentage in 31 games this season. The Jackets are second to last in the Eastern Conference with a minus-16 goal differential. Their goalies have had to carry a heavy responsibility, but the arrival of new coach Rick Bowness will almost instantly improve the team's structure and details. And that will certainly benefit both Greaves and Elvis Merzlikins.
