ImpactByram, in his third game back from a lengthy spell on injured reserve, was given his most TOI since rejoining the active lineup. That's understandable as Colorado was without Cale Makar (head) for a second consecutive game. He has a pair of helpers since returning, and his offensive aptitude could help fill the void should Makar's injury force him to miss more time.

Samuel Girard - Logs assist in winGirard had a short-handed assist, two shots on goal, two hits and three blocked shots over 25:34 of ice time in Saturday's 5-3 win over Florida.
ImpactGirard's clearing attempt got past Carter Verhaeghe into the neutral zone, where Andrew Cogliano led a 2-on-1 break that resulted in a Logan O'Connor tally to open the scoring. It was the fifth time in the last six games that Girard has hit the scoresheet. The Avalanche may need more of this from Girard if Cale Makar's head injury lingers.

Matt Nieto - Scores second with AvsNieto scored a goal on two shots over 9:42 of ice time in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Panthers.
ImpactNieto was surrounded by Panthers but given just enough time to one-time a feed from J.T. Compher and give Colorado a 2-0 lead. It was his second tally in five games since joining the Avalanche in late January. Nieto initially served on the second line but has since been dropped to a bottom-six role as injured Av forwards returned to the lineup.

ImpactLundell has turned up the heat with three goals and six assists over the last month, a 13-game span. Lauded for his skills as a two-way pivot, the Panthers drafted Lundell 12th overall in 2020, and he's been handling a top-six assignment with a No. 2 power-play role. Lundell's shooting percentage (6.7) needs improvement, but he's shown flashes of his upside on the way to seven goals and 17 assists -- including five man-advantage apples -- through 46 games.

ImpactToews crept down low to the side of the net and banged home a rebound of a Bowen Byram slapper 25 seconds after the Panthers tied the game at two. It was Toews' first tally since the calendar flipped to 2023, snapping a 15-game drought. The top-pair defenseman has four goals and 24 points through 49 games.
