Jordan Staal - Adds to modest point total Saturday Staal recorded an assist on a pair of shots in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win over the Islanders.

Impact The 35-year-old Staal now has just five points on the season (1G, 4A), but more alarmingly has been held off the scoresheet in nine of the 12 games he's played so far. Staal's point totals have been in the mid-30's the past two seasons, which is the same pace he's on right now, so he's nothing if not consistent from a scoring perspective.

Jordan Martinook - Rare helper Saturday Martinook snapped a 10-game pointless streak with his second assist of the season in Saturday's 4-3 OT win over the Islanders.

Impact Martinook continues to skate mainly on the Canes' third line where opportunities to contribute offensively are typically not very plentiful. He doesn't really move the needle much from a fantasy perspective.

Brady Skjei - Dishes OT helper Saturday Skjei assisted on the game-winning goal in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win against the Islanders.

Impact Skjei has cooled off considerably since his red-hot start back in October when he recorded six points in his first five games (1G, 5A), but his latest helper gives him a respectable eight points in 12 games. He continues to skate mainly on the Canes' second defensive pairing, averaging a healthy 20:57 in ice time per game. This gives him decent fantasy value in most standard formats.
