Injury Report: Chatfield Nearing Return | Carolina Hurricanes Defenseman expected to play "at some point" during Canes' road trip
Michael Callahan - Promoted from minors Callahan was recalled from AHL Providence on Tuesday, Mark Divver of the New England Hockey Journal reports.
Impact The Bruins were expected to promote a defenseman from the minors in light of the Charlie McAvoy (upper body) injury, and it would appear Callahan is their pick. The 26-year-old Callahan has played in three games for Boston this season in which he failed to register a point while notching six blocks, three hits and two shots. Even with his promotion, Callahan is far from a lock to suit up against the Ducks on Wednesday and may have to settle for being a healthy scratch.

Mark Jankowski - Tickles twine in win Jankowski scored the game-winning goal in Monday's 3-1 win over the Bruins.
Impact Jankowski's first goal of the season put the Hurricanes ahead 2-0 in the second period. The 31-year-old looks to have a path to playing time again while Jesperi Kotkaniemi (ankle) is out of action. In a part-time role this year, Jankowski has put up three points, seven shots on net, six blocked shots, six PIM and a plus-3 rating through 10 outings.

Jordan Staal - Opens scoring Monday Staal scored a goal on two shots and added five hits in Monday's 3-1 win over the Bruins.
Impact Staal struck the opening blow in a battle between two of the Eastern Conference's top teams so far. He's scored in back-to-back games now following a stretch of 12 outings in which he was limited to two assists. The 37-year-old center is up to five goals, two helpers, 23 shots on net, 36 hits, 23 PIM, 11 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating through 19 appearances.
