Ryan Graves - Slides two helpers in shutoutGraves earned two assists along with four blocked shots in Saturday's 4-0 win over the Sabres.
ImpactGraves continues to carve out a substantial role on the Penguins blue line, as he's averaging a career-high 21:25 of ice time on the top pair with Kris Letang. However, Graves is not included on the man advantage, acting as the dedicated stay-at-home defender in that duo at even strength and on the penalty kill. With that said, his two-apple delivery from Saturday reminds us that he's capable of helping out offensively in a pinch.

Matt Savoie's early return to juniors underscores Sabres' depth issues at forwardThe Sabres have questions to answer about how they’re going to fill out their forward lineup after assigning Savoie to the WHL.

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen - Hung out to dry by matesLuukkonen made 36 saves in a 4-0 loss to Pittsburgh on Saturday. He allowed three goals.
ImpactThe Sabres weren't entirely awful in front of him -- they were inconsistent and couldn't score. After starting the season 3-1-0, Luukkonen has gone 0-2-1 with 11 goals allowed in his last three starts. At the same time, Devon Levi has won two consecutive games this month, so the Sabres may go back to him next game. Use caution with Luukkonen. He's better off on your bench until his game picks up.

Sidney Crosby - Eight-game, 10-point streakCrosby had an assist Saturday in a 4-0 win over the Sabres.
ImpactIt was a secondary helper on Erik Karlsson's second goal. It extended Crosby's point streak to eight games (four goals, six assists). And he has at least one point in 12 of 13 games this season (seven goals, eight assists). Sid is Sid, and he's not slowing down.

Evgeni Malkin - On goal ripMalkin had a goal and an assist in a 4-0 win over Buffalo on Saturday.
ImpactMalkin put the Pens up 1-0 in the last minute of the first period. He drove the net and put a rebound backhanded off of Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen's mask. It was his eighth of the season, which is the most through the first 13 games of a season since his rookie year, when he scored nine. At 37, Malkin is still a fantasy force, as long as he stays healthy. He's coming off his first full season in 13 years, and he delivered 83 points in 82 games. His risk is high, but so is his potential. So have a back-up plan ready.

Erik Karlsson - Five-game, nine-point streakKarlsson scored twice Saturday in a 4-0 win over Buffalo.
ImpactHis first, which pushed the score to 3-0, deflected in off the stick of Buffalo defender Erik Johnson on a power play in the first minute of the third. His second went into an empty net. Karlsson has nine points (three goals, six assists) on a five-game point streak after putting up just three points in his first eight games. Four of those points have come on the power play. It has taken some time to find chemistry with his new teammates, but things are finally looking up for Karlsson and his fantasy managers. It will be hard to replicate his triple-digit point total from last season, but never say never, especially if the Pens' stars stay healthy.

Tristan Jarry - Shuts out SabresJarry (eye) made 35 saves Saturday in a 4-0 win over Buffalo.
ImpactJarry had missed Thursday's game after his eye swelled up after he was hit by a puck in Tuesday's game, necessitating stitches. Thankfully, there was no damage to the eye itself, so he was able to suit up once the swelling subsided. Overall, Jarry is 5-5-0 on the season with a 2.23 GAA and .920 save percentage. It was his third shutout in 10 starts this season and 16th in the NHL.
