Impact Bernard-Docker was injured during practice Monday and had to be helped off the ice with a high-ankle sprain. The 24-year-old defenseman was replaced in the lineup by Nikolas Matinpalo on the third unit. Expect Bernard-Docker to be out until after the 4 Nation Face-Off tournament in February. Bernard-Docker had a goal and three assists in 25 appearances with the Senators before his injury.

Dennis Gilbert - Plays in seven-defensemen lineup Gilbert racked up two hits and nine PIM in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Senators.
Impact This was Gilbert's second appearance in three games, though he was scratched for the prior six contests. The Sabres rolled with seven defensemen Thursday, but it's unclear if they'll do that more frequently in the second half. Mattias Samuelsson (illness) was also out, so it's possible Gilbert goes back to the press box once his fellow defenseman is healthy again. Gilbert has one assist, two shots on net, 36 hits, 36 PIM and 11 blocked shots through 14 outings in 2024-25.

Impact Krebs has earned three points over his last six outings. He remains firmly in a bottom-six role, though he could draw a little more playing time if the Sabres' usage of seven defensemen from Thursday becomes a regular thing. Impact Cozens ended a five-game goal drought with his second-period tally. The 23-year-old center has been playing on the top line lately, but it hasn't unlocked more offense for him with just two points over four contests since the promotion. He's at nine goals, 12 assists, 94 shots on net, 86 hits, 45 PIM and a minus-13 rating over 42 appearances this season, offering limited upside for fantasy outside of formats that reward toughness.

Michael Amadio - Not ready to return Amadio (concussion) skated in a non-contact jersey Friday but will not be available for weekend games against Pittsburgh and Dallas, Claire Hanna of TSN reports.

Impact Perron was practicing in a non-contact jersey Friday, so he is getting closer to a return. Perron has yet to pick up a point in nine NHL games this season and has missed 31 games thus far this season, ahead of weekend games versus Pittsburgh and Dallas. He could return as early as Tuesday against the Islanders.
