Impact Stolarz allowed three goals on 10 shots in the first period and didn't return for the second. The goalie's injury comes at a rough time for the Maple Leafs, who are trying to allow Joseph Woll (personal) to get up to speed on a conditioning stint with AHL Toronto. Should Stolarz miss additional time, Dennis Hildeby figures to be the team's top option in goal.

Set to start in Boston Stolarz will defend the road net Tuesday against the Bruins, per Mark Masters of TSN.

Impact Stolarz has a chance to avenge his loss to the Bruins on Saturday, as he surrendered four goals on 19 shots in that game and was subsequently replaced by Dennis Hildeby in the middle frame. The 31-year-old Stolarz has allowed at least three goals in seven of his last eight starts, so it's been a been a poor start to the year after a stellar 2024-25 campaign. The New Jersey native is 2-1-1 with a 3.44 GAA and an .898 save percentage over four career regular-season appearances against Boston.

Impact He was replaced by Dennis Hildeby. Stolarz had won four straight before this outing. He'll bounce back, but we're watching his workload right now. Stolarz has essentially be carrying the freight this season with Joseph Woll (personal) away from the team. The latter is back and shaking off the rust in the AHL. Woll's return will help Stolarz stabilize his game -- he's good, but not good enough to carry a heavy starting load like this.
